your experience thrifting in the pound store is literally what its like for me in new zealand, i still thrift like once a week because i have slowly built up patience to find good stuff 😩

the pay by the pound by me just opened back up this month and it is full of clothes that the thrift stores didnt sell but u find really good stuff bc they charged too much in the store and thats the only reason no one bought it before. the bins are also a lot wider and not as deep so its not as bad to look through

i work at a salvation army and the reason you found so many new tags is because the salvation army isn’t allowed to raise the prices just bc it’s new. we have to put it out as is.

@@amandasymonds Unfortunately I didn’t take much home😩 but I still found some fun pieces that were nice to try on! I just wasn’t totally in love with them enough to justify buying them. But consistency is key so I’m planning on visiting that thrift store more often!

I know exactly where you went, and I can wholeheartedly agree that it sucks!!😅 I got dropped off at the market by the pound and I was so so underwhelmed, nothing good at all! Plus the place next door (just thrift) charges so so high for their “designer brands”, I remember seeing an area in the front with all designer and everything was 80$ or more! Hated it in both stores haha

where I live, the Goodwill bins are IT!!! usually here the bins are really good because goodwill *generally* tries to only sell the best quality. so the bins are made up of really nice items but maybe they have a slight tear or missing a button. if ur town has a location def check it out !!!!
