I am so in awe that Jasmine made such a special connection with her first tour guide, to the extent that he wanted to introduce her to his family. That is so special ❤❤❤
Ahmed's family was absolutely beautiful! His wife showing you the dishes and how to cook them and explaining everything so well. And then in the end, when she showed you how they ordered from the local market and send down the basket----just lovely!! They were indeed a beautiful family. And many years from now when you think back on all your travels, you'll forget a lot, but probably never forget this family and their generosity. ♥♥
There was something really warm about the shot ordering chips from the balcony, it really felt like experiencing a very authentic family moment. Something that a regular tourist wouldn’t experience. The Egypt vlogs are actually some of my favorites from you, just something about them, very engaging, lots of activity, meeting new people and really diving into the history and culture~
I so love your Egypt vlogs, as does my husband who is from Cairo. Your time so far in Egypt brings me back a decade when I first moved to Cairo and all of the amazing adventures and people whom I met. Priceless times! Your videos are amazing and truly capture the spirit of Egyptians and the frenetic energy of Cairo. I also appreciate your emphasis on "checking your privilege" as we all should, if we've had the fortune to be born into plenty and not abject poverty. Keep the faith, and blessed travels❤
Egyptians like people like you, laid back light hearted and funny. Egyptian hate aggressive arrogant people. If you are down to earth they will love you and you will love them.
The way you've embraced Egypt is reflective in the way they've embraced you. What a lovely family! I love how the people are so caring and protective of you. You make us feel like we're with you! I don't know how you do it but you seem to capture everything and include all of us at the same time. I swear I'm there with you girl! LOL😅 Well done!💜🧚🏿♀️💜
Right?! I feel the same way watching her videos - it’s like she’s bringing us along for every little adventure, and her connection with the people is just beautiful to see! It really does feel like we're right there in every moment! LOL 🥰
Dearest Jasmine, thank you for yr wonderful vlogs; I've been watching from day 1!❤ I'm British/egyptian born in London ( ❤ those vlogs too) and lived in Egypt for over 10 years. Life was in Egypt was crazy from family life to socializing..2 different worlds ! Lived in Dubai then Mozambique currently in South Africa...so thank you for yr vlogs xxx
Jasmine....just in case you didnt know, there are levels to travel advisors.... you just exploded the entire profession. Off the charts. One in a million. Cant duplicate your style if they wanted.... you are a diamond ❤
I love that you are going out of your comfort zone. You seemed more comfortable and confident in Istanbul but my last trip to Egypt was done alone. It is very safe. You have to take precautions like anywhere. The basket system is the best! This is who Egyptians are..kind, generous and letting you into their home. Downtown boutiques have great dresses at affordable prices. Mall of egypt and mall of arabia..overpriced brand name crap!
Jasmine you are absolutely beautiful and amazing ❤ I’m giving you another title. You are an educator. Professor Jasmine. You are teaching us geography and history. Life lessons too. Your sense of adventure is expanding all of our lives. You are a gift. Thank you for the education 🙏🏽
Brilliant Vlog. Loved it. Wonderful to see Ahmed and his go family open up their heart and house. Really lovely. Just goes to show you how building bridges with people can lead to beautiful experiences. Bravo 💐🌺🎉
Glad to see you are enjoying your trip. Most middle/upper class Egyptians avoid the old neighbourhoods and live in the suburbs. New Cairo and Sheikh Zayed city are the biggest suburbs. If you want to go out alone, New Cairo and Sheikh Zayed have many very nice malls and places to go.
Yes it is good to see the new stuff but the majority of people are living in older parts. Egyptian middle class is nonexistent at this point in time! You have the rich and you have everybody. This family was super generous. Meat is expensive in egypt for Egyptians. They did well to.showcase Egyptian hospitality!
@@Fiola_M Yes, that was very generous of them. The class discrepancy in Egypt is definitely something one's notice. Egypt has a huge expat population (10-12 million), the majority work in the gulf region, earning US equivalent salaries and pay no taxes, and transfer their wealth back to home. Add to this the top 10% earner living in Egypt (another 12 million) drive the majority of developments in Egypt. For example: Most developments on the 200km North Coast of Egypt starts at 250k USD and gets sold out in hours on launch days (thousands of units). Egypt doesn't have a mortgage system, these unit gets sold through direct finance via the developer over short period or in cash. Same in the suburbs and other major cities. As an absolute number, there are 15-24 million Egyptians earning more than 100k USD/year. This is two thirds the population of Canada for example.
I thoroughly enjoyed this vlog. I love the time you spent with the family. I know you enjoyed your day. Glad your driver was available for you. Love the fact that you caught up with the Dr. and others. Continue to enjoy.
Yessssssss Jas, these vlogs are everything! I see you learning and growing in your craft too, and as a person as you meet the people of the world. This is giving me nostalgic Anthony Bourdain vibes, so inspiring.
Jasmine, I'm loving this video. I love how Ahmed and his family welcomed you into their home so you could experience an authentic home cooked meal and spend time with the family in Egypt.
I can’t express how much I love your RU-vids… you crap me up… I love your energy! Keep sharing your travels I love them.’ I admire your bravery and hoa inspiring you are. It makes me want to break out of my routine and start exploring. ❤
Jasmine I like how you immerse yourself into everyday life in order to experience the authentic culture. You are more than just a tourist, I felt I was in Egypt with you
Jasmine thank you for your bravery and your willingness to travel vlog so people like me that can’t, are able to experience other cultures through video. Thank you young lady.
You are a sweet spirit, your joy for life, people and experiences is an adventure for us all. You don't meet any strangers ,keep being you, Jasmine.💯👍🏾🙏🏾
I enjoyed the background music! They were jamming! 👍 That's so nice he took you to his home to meet his family! 😊that's so nice too. 😂It was kinda funny watching you guys order by yelling out the window! Lol Love that nice mall in District 5. I would enjoy that! Its funny, I never even thought about visiting there but now that I saw your video, it looks like a great trip. I didn't know the people would be friendly but I see I am wrong.
They really are a lovely family. You find the working class ppl the kindest there. The rich people are tedious. Egypt is a very class structured society!
Ohh you're staying in my area 🎉 welcome to Egypt habibti ❤ hope you enjoy your time insha'Allah. And yes they're highways in the middle of the desert literally 😂 those cities were just desert once upon a time.
This is in comment to your blog post. Baby you keep being you!! Like you said, everything aint for everybody. You know you doing something right when the haters come out 🤗. We love your videos. Your channel is one of the very rare channels that we can watch in full. Most other channels might have a good intro but the rest of the video is basically a selfie and we click off. No real information not showing the sites. Too afraid to hold the camera up and vlog in public. Dont stop being you!
Superb vlog! Love the juxtaposition of the 2 experiences - your guide and your friend, to create balance. Really engaging video; enjoyed every second of it, thanks
That video shows all people who calls egyptians scammers and thieves the true egyptian kindness and hospitality, thank you Jas for the vlog and welcome to egypt!
2nd time here,❤ that you are feeling free and enjoying your trip. It appeared that you got some good Uber drivers, I am so happy that you met some nice people and your personality made me want to see your cooking class & spending time with the family. Enjoy your vacation!
You are looking tanned and beautiful. Egypt is looking good on you. It sounds like you are learning as you travel. Good for you. Thank you for giving us travel tips.❤❤
And your newest driver hung out staying to make sure you made it back to your side of town! How amazing. Hello Dr and friends. The restaurant guy. Teaching U Arabic Assalamualiakum - peace be upon you.
Great vlog Jasmine. Now I know how to cook the greens without the onion and garlic and to cook the other dishes and “veganize” them. The sound she is making is creating the right vibrations for the food. Sitting on the floor also is the correct way to eat and commune with the family. You got the experience of the window delivery, fantastic 🎉. Good idea to keep the Uber driver because sometimes it challenging getting a car at certain times and certain places. I have to visit District 5 You did really well❤ Salaam
Jasmine, I saw your comment about the trolls after you. Sad on them! Let your light shine now and always!!! Keep going with your adventures and amplitude of mind, never give up and never let jealousy get in your way!! God bless you 🙏🙏
