The first ep made me tear up so much when I realised Spice and Wolf was back, this is permanently associated with that feeling now, and it almost feels as though the song respects that sort of feeling, I love this

the amazing part is that this song is actually quite a successful experiment. Measure the 1st note (the lowest of the whole song) and the highest note of the song, then you'll know it's not mass production bs, because singing this actually takes skill. Also, the melody also progress in quite a rare (unexpected) way, while still being a very good song.

For old viewers, how does the new show compare to old one?

Pretty much very well. The new looks a lot more like the illustrations of the original novel which can be really hit or miss, but besides that it's a re-release that sticks much closer to the novels in general. It's kind of like FMA und FMA:Brotherhood, both are absolutely amazing and while one was already a well-received classic by the time the reboot/remake/re-whateveryouwannacallit came out, the newer version will probably eclipse the original. Regardless, I absolutely love both shows.
