Unfortunately their priorities have changed. Motherhood, husbands, businesses and other ventures. They‘re probably in a stage, where they can get along with each other again, treat each other with respect and can go to events or dinners together. But sitting in a studio for days, where everyone wants to push through their big egos and visions? Remember Geri and Mel B were already very bossy back then and Mel C is a perfectionist, controlling and self critical, when it comes to music. She even hates fantastic Spice Girls songs like „Woman“. The most recent group sessions we got was in their return era, where they were able to record two songs „Headlines“ and „Voodoo“ and shot one music video together. The next time, 3/5 of the group at least recorded „Song for her“ together. Sometimes I wish, the girls were broke again, then the passion for the group surely would come back. Mel B is the most financial struggling one. She’s also the one, who‘s been trying to call the girls back together in the last few years.
@@guybrushdennisthreepwood3549 Ill also add that even if they were interested in recording new music, unfortunately they no longer have the confidence that they can do it, Mel C has mentioned in a couple interviews that they have talked about it, but they are afraid that it wont work out and would tarnish their legacy so their super cautious about it.
Do You Think About Me - A real shame this wasn't released, Posh probably would've gotten dogged on a lot less if it was. Don't Wanna Be - This one kinda reminds me of Whitney Houston's upbeat songs. Also imagine how funny it would've been if they'd followed up "Wannabe" with a song called "Don't Wanna Be". Strong Enough - I guess the record label must've thought they could have either a saxophone solo or a harmonica solo, but not both. Walking On Air - I really like this one, though I think it likely would've sounded a few years behind the times by the Spice Girls' time. Don't Break My Heart - Ditto for this one. C U Next Tuesday - I think Simon Fuller really screwed their long-term credibility by forcing them to pander to young children. If they had released this and catered more towards teens rather than kids, they may not have sold as well but they would've definitely been more well-received critically, and these days the general public would remember them more fondly than being a meme band. Is This Love - This one is pretty meh, I can see why it was left in the vault.
Some of these songs are amazing. They could stop selling the same songs 100 times and, instead, remaster some of these ones. I love them, but the Spice Girls branding without nothing in return is upsetting. They earn ALL. We fans only pay for the same day after day.
I heard C U Next Tuesday (Likely Stories) months and months ago before the leak and it's been stuck in my mind since lol. Don't know why Mel C hates it so much!
Mel C doesn't hate it. She said in her autobiography that the girls think the song is TOO risqué for the Spice brand, but she wants to do something with it as a solo artist if the girls don't decide.
Good but why didn't you have the best ones? A day in your life, Pain Proof, If it's loving on your mind aka Give you what you want and Right back at ya (Pop Version)
FanStatic? Hi did you hopefully get the snippet of the song Go Go Go that was up for a week? They got taken down. I wish i got it but I thought the person was going to help us all out by leaking it. It was Portal Spice Girls Brazil.
Apparently most of these are _really_ early, from back when the group was still called "Touch". That was in 1994, so that probably explains why they're very New Jack Swing-esque. And as the previous commenter mentioned, they're rough demos which explains them sound very cheap production-wise.
