I didn't realize that the baby was here. My sincere congratulations on y new arrival. I don't know if John has a brother or a sister. You never said. Any way Best wishes 🙏. Your Indiana viewer.
Transax transplant I have a 30 y.o. Murray 11/36ic that was increasingly difficult to change gear. I acquired another transaxle 10 years ago, and seeing it has 10 years less use than my one so it must be in good or better condition...right? Put it on, and now the mower won't move forward or back. I see the drive belt is turning the rear pulley on the transax. I lift the back up to see if there is the slightest movement and there is nada. 😑 Any ideas anyone...
Bravo as always 😂 the transmissions meeting their outdoor shelflife 😢 just found a weird 80s lawn tractor that I need to identify excited to tear it up with it soon
Great video. I have one to repair, where the axle seals have leaked out enough of the fluid that it won't operate. I am going to tear it down, to replace the seals, (assuming that I can find them). This was a good review (except for the dirt part, I have NEVER done that myself) :-)
Thanks for the great info.I have...uh...well....husky based tractor.Shhhh. The input shaft is loose and now I know how to get To the bearing.I look forward to seeing how to replace it. Merry Christmas to you all,and the fans everywhere too.
Congrats on the birth of the baby. Boy I am guessing. Name? Also great video, but have a question. Would cleaning the outside of the trans, and maybe sanding the shifter and input shafts help with getting them apart a little easier? I am thinking the Rust / Dirt might be causing issues when you pop them apart. Dave, Fredericksburg VA.
Boy Jethro. On the long shifters I do tend to sand them down. But the problem is the 1 inch long hole it rust expands in the case. At the end of the day its a problem with many solutions all of them with some form of clean up after.
The MTDs are the ones I hate but the Murray is made by Stanley tools company and I would think is a better choice but then my favorite is the AYP made units
