Ingredients:
200g spaghetti
2 tablespoons olive oil3 cloves garlic, minced1 can (400g) diced tomatoes1 teaspoon dried basil1 teaspoon dried oreganoSalt and pepper to tasteGrated Parmesan cheese (optional)Fresh basil leaves for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
Cook the Spaghetti:
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.Add the spaghetti and cook according to the package instructions until al dente.Drain and set aside.Prepare the Sauce:In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.Add the diced tomatoes (with their juice) to the skillet.Stir in the dried basil and oregano.Season with salt and pepper to taste.Simmer the sauce for about 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it thickens slightly.
Combine:Add the cooked spaghetti
Toss until the spaghetti is well coated with the sauce.Serve:Divide the spaghetti into serving bowls.Sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.Garnish with fresh basil leaves if available.
