Spider-Man 1 On PS2 Causes Pain... (Part 2) 

Apparently the reason this games storyline is similarish but different for a majority of the parts, apparently the developers were given a very early draft of the script that they were only allowed to keep for like 24 hours or something and weren’t allowed to keep it or take pictures of it so they kinda had to do it from memory but the script ended up changing, which is why like 85% of content is different like the skulls murdering Uncle Ben so yeah apparently this was an early draft if I remember correctly. Also since the original Raimi trilogy, Tobey’s Peter actually used Web Shooters (seen in an old trailer for Spider-Man 1) so since the early draft had him using web shooters it was probably put in for a way to refill web shooters instead of having unlimited webbing but like I said it was a very early draft of the script and it all got changed.

the visual quality of this game (especially the cutscenes) still amaze me for the era.

21:31 Fun fact: There's a cheatcode that allows you to use the Mary Jane parade outfit skin on Spidey and kiss the NPC Mary Jane at the ending cutscene. Unfortunately however, the cheatcode was pulled from the Greatest Hits versions of the game due to parental complaints.

On the Xbox version there was a weird level with Kraven out of nowhere. Also there was a cheat that lets you play the whole game as the Goblin, it even alters the story to reflect that.

The best part of the Goblin fights was jumping on the glider with him and punching him in the face. You had to hit the jump button perfectly for it to work, like jumping on thugs backs

I replayed this game and gave up on shocker this game is surprisingly hard

The one level I absolutely hated from this game is the one where you have to run up the building stairwell while being attacked from above by The Vulture. And the "go find the Oscorp password in 5 parts" is the definition of tedious.

This game was my childhood, and after beating the game a couple of times, I looked online for cheats and stuff, and the cheats that are always recommended to have on are KOALA to get all the moves unlocked, and ORGANICWEBBING to have infinite webs as its annoying to run out and the movie ended up with them too so its canon to the movie, then if you wanna try out the Green Goblin mode, you can become OP as heck if you use the CHILLOUT cheat, as that will make the meter on the glider that handles the guns and stuff to be infinite, and all of this lets you make the game more fun, but I kind of wish that they had done more stuff kind of like they did with the PS1 Spider-Man 1 and 2, as those games totally fit the game engine used but I feel that them reusing the engine for the movie game was just lazy, as it basically made the movie game a pseudo sequel to the PS1 games in terms of the engine and some mechanics, and I am glad that for Spider-Man 2 they had just gone for a whole new engine instead to make it stand out, since that to me is still one of the best Spider-Man games ever especially with the more realistic web swinging mechanics, as it was pretty ridiculous how Activision got away with Spider-Man basically swinging from the air itself.
