something i found out about the kraven fight is that anyone can no damage him. All u have to do is keep tapping L1 instead of trying to time it and Venom will parry anything Kraven throws at him lol.
Peter got killed by kraven, saved by mr negative, got beat by miles, got beat by venom and miles even held his own with no symbiote. Peter went out sad too many times.
Yeah it kinda bothers me. It could have been better if they didn’t nerfed peter that much. Plus I feel they made Miles handle things way too easily. Still I think story and game is quite good.
Peter did not get killed by Kraven, he would have died if it wasn't for the black suit, Peter had the Symbiote suit on (a much less controlled and aggressive state of the black suit) while fighting Miles, Peter was at a heavy disadvantage and would have done better if he did not have the suit on

I like how the symbiote is portrayed on Peter. He couldn’t take control of his emotions and was struggling against the symbiote mentally and physically. He began to fight like a berserker, which I believe was why he failed to reach MJ and failed to defeat Miles. Also, Peter’s such a badass (especially when he’s trying to break out of the trap), and Yuri’s voice acting is literally a 10/10 (when he screams in agony from the irritating sounds in the game, it’s bone-chilling). Kind of a rare opinion but Kraven was my favorite boss!
Bro might be an industry plant but he's got a point, it's kinda like the Berserker armor from... Berserk, especially that scene where the Symbiote sets Pete's arm back into place with that snap. It was a damn good representation, especially when my controller began viscerally howling and screaming when Symbiote stuff was happening
I love the emotional and mental effect all of this is having on Peter. You can tell he isn't at the top of his game in some of these fights. I know some are upset with how Peter was nerfed this game but honestly emotional and mental health is huge plus he still saved Miles quite a bit honestly its about even at the end
The first Sandman boss battle reminds me of the first boss battles of the original God of War trilogy where they were all giant spectacular boss battles.
If they made Peter actually strong then maybe it’d be better. It’s so obvious they made him a weakling in order to pave way for Miles. They want Miles to seem like he’s better than Peter in every way possible. Absolutely heartbreaking how disrespectful this game was to Peter

He got saved from the sand by Miles, killed by Kraven, saved from the hunters by Harry, saved by Yuri, got defeated by Miles (despite having the symbiote), saved by Mr. Negative, and got his ass beaten by Venom multiple times (even though he had the Anti-Venom suit, and Miles barely struggled against Venom). In the game before, he only struggled twice, once against the Sinister Six, and once by Doctor Octopus. Also, in the Miles game he got KO’ed by the Rhino despite beating him and the Scorpion at the same time the game before (but Miles beat the Rhino). They nerfed Peter to make the African American Spider-Man look all cool. I want to like this game so much but as a huge comic book fan, I was truly disappointed at how much they disrespected Peter, who should actually be a strong hero rather than a pussy wimp :(
They truly made Black Suit Spiderman pure perfection in this game... I would love to see animations of this caliber if they decide to bring him into the MCU
Oh I guarantee this is gonna be game of the year. If they don’t make it GOTY, then that would be a sin. Seriously this is one of the best sequels that I’ve ever seen. Plus what’s amazing is that it’s so much better than any of the movies or TV shows from Marvel these days. It doesn’t feel obnoxious or disrespectful to the characters at all.
Being's Mary Jane had been transformed into "Scream" by Venom in the main campaign, I think it's well within the realm of possibility that Wraith will be transformed into "Agony" by Carnage in future DLC. Afterall, Mary Jane shared the same color pallet as Scream prior to her transformation. So, it stands to reason that Wraith's purple attire, and story-driven ties to Cletus Cassidy all but confirms her transformation into the purple symbiote by Carnage's hand somewhere down the line.
The weird thing about the first boss is even if theres a sand storm happening in the entire city and one of the teachers are getting attacked by a bunch of monsters made out of sand, they still gotta show up
Tbh it's kinda accurate to American work culture. I remember my college still being open on the night of a horrible blizzard like 8 years ago lol. Saw so many crashes on the way to class that night. Teachers especially are treated like shit.
The teachers are responsible for keeping the students safe. When there is a citywide supervillain attack you really think they're gonna just have everybody what? Walk home?
I don’t like how Venom eventually just went to “the symbiote uses Harry as a battery” but honestly I love how his lines could either be interpreted as Harry or the suit talking and they still work. The characters seem to think it’s Harry but it’s definitely the suit salty Spider-Man discarded it

It makes him more durable and tanky. And allows him to deal more damage . So he'd have to hold back more, just watch spectacular, he got his ass handed to him by the sinister 6 first encounter with the suit, it adapted and the second time he encountered them he obliterated them, nearly killed some of them, it definitely makes him stronger
I wish they differ a little bit, I think boss fights are more so kind of boring after a while, because they are SO LOOONG, but are essentially not changing at all, you're just dodging/parrying, hitting, fleeing over and over again, wish they were more creative with the gameplay
Yeah, they're significantly longer than the previous games. They made you fight Electro and Vulture at the same time in SM1, and that fight easily doesn't last as long as the ones in this game.
Half of me praises the game but half of me says it’s so obvious they nerfed Peter and made Miles stronger. It’s even more obvious that come the final act (Venom to the end), they tried so freaking hard to make Miles more better, and seem to be intending to use him to replace Peter (who’s significantly more interesting and complex). Peter literally said to Miles “Why would the city need me when it had you?”, trying to tell the audience that Miles is better than Peter in almost every way. As a humongous Spider-Man fan, they totally disrespected Peter and it honestly ruined the game for me. Well, at least Super Mario Wonder is fantastic.
Chill, dude. This game is based off the ultimate universe. They’re obviously setting it up for Green Goblin to kill Peter in the next sequel, that’s how Miles took over. Peter still is Spidey in the 616/original comic line. Miles only replaced Peter in the ultimate comic series. Not the mainline. And you seemed to be kinda a bigot with your statement from another comment you made saying, “they’re making Peter weak so that can make the African American Spider Man look good.” You seemed to only focus on his race instead of just saying “the other Spider-Man” so you seemed to already be sensitive about a black guy being Spider Man. If you’re a “real” comic book Spidey fan. You would know that Miles replaced Spidey in the Ultimate universe since the early 2011. He’s been well established since then. It ain’t a surprised to normal fans. This is not even canon. Nobody replaced Peter as the main Spider-Man. It’s a different universe. So calm down. With the current agenda, they definitely made Miles and MJ stronger (both of whom always run out into battle and never get any wound or scar) because they want to strengthen the minorities and made Peter weaker because a “big bad white man”. I hope not, all they do is try and cram as much into the story as possible. Cindy has no reason to be in the story like Miles, as he was introduced halfway through the first game's story. Cindy was just thrown into the mix at the last minute.

For everyone saying Peter’s Spider-Man got his ass kicked a lot you do realize what they’re setting up right? They will do another game Marvels Spider-Man 3 will be coming and Peter will die to the green goblin and the torch will be passed to miles as the one and only Spider-Man. These games have been following the ultimate comics storyline minus Peter dying at the start. First game we got introduced to Peter and saw his life then boom right away miles was there and then we got a whole game fleshing him out and then this game Miles takes center stage while Peter gets beat up. By then end Peter basically retires and lets miles be the only Spider-Man. Next game we will see Peter die and miles will take over his place for good. Sadly it’s the way it works now 🤷🏼♂️🤷🏼♂️ writers think Peter Spider-Man has been going too long and they always have to introduce new young blood so here we are.
Anyone who says peter would lose to miles makes that one of craziest things I’ve heard. Just say it’s plot armor. The only thing I wished is if they found a way to make the bosses more spaced out. I swear I played all the way through the Venom vs Kraven boss fight in like 3 hours lmao.
I just love, how the first mission is literally the best and most entertaining one in the whole game, like i'm no saying it's a BAD game, it could possibly, or probably win game of the year, but the storyline is literally just kind of fucked, miles has it easy while peter is just nerfed to dust. it's so sad, but just setting those flaws aside, it's a VERY good game.
