This was the shit back then! I just bought it online so I could have it again. I always dug the fact that they changed Spidey's combos, especially the kick combo with that cool flying roundhouse kick. I also liked that they added the webbing under the arms and the cheat codes were pretty sick as well! I know you can play as almost all of Spidey's costumes and customize the powers which is the coolest thing ever. This was definitely one of the underrated games back then and still today.
Sorry for that, I really didn't know it would record the music as well as the game's audio, and the Hammerhead fight is a really though one to do on hard mode taking no damage so I decided to keep it. It lasts for less than 4 minutes though :P
There's an intersting glitch here at 8:13, after the place explodes(if not its before), if you force your way up on the the building, the game will crash, and give a black screen with some debug stuff. discovered when I was lil. Never knew what was written there cuz I didn't knwo english(and half of the stuff to do in the game -_-)
I remember having a similar bug that happened in the first game. On the "Stop the Bomb" level when they arm the bomb, before killing the robbers I picked up the bomb and attempted to throw it at them. What happened was that the bomb froze in mid air until I picked it up again. After I found this out, I completed the level as usual and then the game crashed the same way as you described when it was about to load the next level.
They recycled a lot of stuff from the first game (such as the warehouse at 14:00 But Spider-Man and Spider-Man 2: Enter Electro are my favorite spidey games thus far!
Yeah, those were the days... And no, this game wasn't officially released for the PC, though you can play it on your PC -alongside all other PS1 games- using PSX emulators. The one I used in this run is pSX, it's a great emulator and I highly recommend it.
I've uploaded a complete run of SM 2000 (SM1 for the PS1) to my channel, though the version I played on in that run was the PC version of the game. I have played and completed the PS1 version of the game, though I haven't recorded it.
You used an invincibility cheat, you took 2 direct hits. Shown during the first Electro fight at the start and around 1:33:14 he shoots white electricity at you which clearly hits you, spiderman even makes a noise of getting hit but no damage is taken. You don't even try to avoid those 2 hits I mention, which is odd since you try to avoid the other ones. You also did a homing attack afterwards, that goes through his double beam but again, no damage. If you watch other videos of this boss fight you can clearly see that you're supposed to be taking damage. On pc using an emulator clearly you have access to cheats.
@@luizeduardo._. It came from the old novelty hand buzzer called "The Shocker" it vibrated and buzzed when you zhook someones hand...it was annoying as Hell...
after 9/11 Activision made several changes to the game, including: 1. The level "Downward Spiral" became "The Corkscrew" because the previous name somehow related to the plane crash and destroyed buildings. 2. The level "Top Of The World" became "The Best Laid Plans" because the previous name somehow related to The Twin Towers. 3. Originally before final boss (Hyper Electro) took place, Spider must chase Electro to the Twin Tower (WTC) but Activision took down that sub-level in final version.4. The final battle between Spider-Man and Hyper electro (fully charged electro) originally took place at the top of the Twin Towers (World Trade Center) just like Varlus MD stated. But after 9/11 Activision made the final change and the fight took place at the top of "generic twin towers" instead of WTC. The bridge connecting two towers and the generators are the sign of differences.
+SamsMusicification I think this game was fun despite being annoyingly hard. when you're supposed to stop the plane, wow I failed like 15 times before knowing what to do.
