Sam Fisher I know he’s nerdy, but in this he’s just more awkward an always sounds like his nose is stuffed. And also he’s supposed to make jokes, try to convince villians, make quips. But in this he just fights fights fights. I don’t think he ever made a joke while fighting.

@BullyMaguirejr

@@thefilmwatcher1302 no, his personality there is all wrong. Spider-Man do not make jokes to sound funny, he makes jokes to break the focus of his enemies. His technology doesn't matter because it was not him who created it and even in the second movie he uses stark technology to make that another suit, so again it doesn't matter. Got his powers right? He never punches anyone, basically don't swing and he stole a car instead of just uses his web with his intelligence to make his way. So yeah, holland is not spider-man, his a copy of iron man with spider powers and that's is a insult to the character Spider-Man, the most famous character of marvel.

Yes I came back here after watching spiderman NWH. The MCU can NEVER replicate this. Still one of the best cinematic film that transcend the generic superheroes movies. So proud to be young and alive to experience the first 3 films. What nostalgia. When Tobey spiderman music score played in the background, a deep yearning came from deep within. Something I've missed so long but never knowing what it was. It was so far and out of my grasp. And then I finally realized it. My childhood. My childhood innocence and sense of wonder. When doc asked how Peter was doing and he replied still trying to do better. That was the one scene that was deeply touching for me. Such an honest answer. He did not try to lie or pretend that everything is OK or hide behind a false smile. He answer him just like any other person would. We all strive to be better each day. To do better snd make better decisions. Such a grounded human like answer. Hence the best spiderman/Peter Parker.

@Ray Valentine Many people died in 9/11, causing a wake up call about national security and terrorism. Obviously, people care. Second, conspiracies are not fact. Third, this person is simply saying that despite this movie coming out shortly after 9/11, it is moving that Spider Man shows the World Trade Center still intact, which fall was a symbol of terror and despair from the then recent attacks. Having Spider Man stand triumphantly in taking up his role as a protector on the building is both epic and awesome in reminding people of hope that comes from people who make sacrifices like the fictional hero. It wasn't political, only historical, until you brought government and conspiracies into the picture.

One ending could be if Peter and Miles defeat the main villain and Peter seemingly dies a heroic death. Miles walks away from Peter’s funeral vowing to continue his crusade and swings off as the new Spidey. As Miles swings off, a figure is shown from behind watching him and the final shot reveals the figure to be Peter who secretly survived and smiles.

While the physics might not be as realistic, the reason this scene, and a lot of Raimi's swinging scenes still look so good is because they weren't fully CGI. They composited on top of actual live action footage of cameras swinging through the streets and buildings. Like 0:29 - 0:33 is an actual real camera shot. The mix of real life elements helps sell the illusion. Whereas TASM and MCU's swinging scenes are 100% CGI. Also Danny Elfman's score is still the best Spiderman soundtrack ever written and singlehandedly lifts this scene above the rest.

that's because in the MCU's spiderman doesn't have any visual weight to it IMO it's fluid and focuses on stylishness rather than majesticness In Raimi's there's visual weight even when we don't experience the swinging we can feel the weight and the pressure that each swinging motion does to the body, the muscle stretches and bends and i guess it's also thanks how the swinging scenes were filmed and plus the motion blurs was really good which emphasizes not only the speed but the weight.

Spiderman I and II were the only movies that successfully portrayed the character accurately, down to the iconic music, and the "thought balloons" going on in Peter's head. Well, JJ Jameson did mention Doctor Strange, so I guess that would technically be the first crossover.

Movie's from 2002 and this scene alone shows how shitty Homecoming was when it comes to Spider-man mythology understanding, who cares if he has web shooters or not if he doesn't know how to use them but yea, let's put some chatty AI inside his suit so kids may think he's cool.

Homecoming wasn't bad (I enjoyed the film), but it will just never reach the overall quality of the trilogy (at least the first two films :P). I would say Tom's performance was great, and Spidey is doing great for this part in the MCU, as far as what he's supposed to do. But there's something missing. He just seems really fake. Not his behaviour, how he speaks, how he moves, but his core. The whole "power and resposibility" has no meaning in Homecoming. His uncle, one of the most important characters in the whole Spiderman origin, got killed a few months ago, and he behaves like it never happened. They didn't even mention him. Not even talking about the whole Stark babysitting lol. TLDR, the problem is in his motivation. He doesn't fight because he must, he does it because he wants to be a hero. But as I said, he's doing good for what he is supposed to do, but he just seems like he's in the wrong time and on the wrong place in the MCU timeline. That's why it will never beat the trilogy.

Ikr he is the best Spider-"Man" for the MCU but in overall i dont like him rightg now. In the future he will be for sure better than he actually is in homecoming but still no one beats TASM or Tobey

@@Helios_._ I think that adult Peter & Miles Morales story would fit the MCU a bit better. This storyline revolves about a few more heroes, which makes Spiderman less of a "solo" hero, so it woud be better for the MCU. Also, I would say that Miles is the type of Spiderman MCU probably wants.

What raimi made back then was magic. I can't put to words how much this trilogy means to me. It shaped my childhood and even to this day when I go back to these movies I love them more and more. Becoming older and understanding the themes and ideals of Spider-Man made me relate heavily as a person that is turning into an adult in a few months. These movies taught people that everyone can be a hero. They aspire me to be a better person

Like almost everyone else, my first view of the character of Spiderman was through Tobey. My dad first introduced me to those movies and I basically grew up with those characters, and whenever I thought of Spiderman I thought of Tobey Maguire. He taught us humility, selflessness,, and self-control. The perfect hero, and the perfect character; putting aside his personal life, for the greater good. Even when his best friend was killed, he kept being Spiderman. When The Amazing Spiderman came out in 2012, I wasn't so into the Spiderman stuff like before. Nevertheless, my dad, my baby brother and I still went in to see Andrew Garfield and he blew my socks off. He was once again a perfect Spiderman; although very different from Tobey, Andrew taught us how to deal with grief, overcome difficult times, respect oneself as much as others, and most importantly; never to give up. Even when he had lost Gwen, the most important person in his life; he continued to play his role as the friendly neighborhood Spiderman. Once those two movies came and went, I regained my admiration for Spiderman as a character, but was slowly but surely growing out of the whole superhero stage. In 2016, when Tom Holland was the new Spiderman, I didn't think much of him; yeah sure he was another Peter Parker, another Spiderman that was goofy and funny, but I was past that time of my life. I saw both new movies and began to fall back into the mentality of 6-7-year-old me. It was all starting to come back. It all came to a head when I saw No Way Home and let me tell you, man... Being able to see Doc Ock, Green-Goblin, Sandman, The Lizard, and Electro alongside my father who was like my Uncle Ben; was really something else. When Andrew stepped through that portal and took his mask off for the first time in about 7 years, I literally shed a couple tears. I looked at my dad and he looked back and he was just as excited as I was. It was amazing, but nothing could have prepared us for Tobey. I already knew he had to be in the movie, but I didn't think it possible. I remember thinking to myself and whispering to my dad: "He has to be here, he has to," and sure enough there he was. I lost my mind in my seat. I had tears rolling down my cheeks as my dad and I looked at each other. He was smiling from ear to ear, and I think him seeing how excited this character that he introduced me to, was getting me; really made him feel special. My mind flashbacked to when I was little, running around the house in my Spiderman costume, my dad and I repeating lines over and over again. This didn't put me off of Tom Holland though. In fact, I feel like his character lost just as much if not more than the other too Spideys. He lost his "Uncle Ben" and mentor/father figure; in the form of Tony Stark; and now with Aunt May gone, Tom's peter had nothing. In spite of this, he did what Spiderman is all about. He kept going. With Andrew teaching him about grief and how to overcome it, and Tobey showing him how to control his anger and use his emotions to help, not to hurt people; Tom's peter finally became the Spiderman he was meant to be. Tom Holland showed us how to improvise when everything seems lost, how to sacrifice everything for the greater good (he did this by making everyone, even his best friend and MJ, forget who he was), and most importantly, how to learn. That's what his character was all about; he's young, naive, and rushes things too much; however in the end he's always able to learn something new and adapt. I left that movie theater just as I had finished the first Spiderman movie when I was younger; smiling and saying: "This is the best movie I've ever seen." All in all, these three Spidermans showed me many lessons; control of one's emotions, selflessness, and determination to see it through to the end; lessons that I take with me on my newest adventure... College. A lot has happened since I first opened that Spiderman 2002 DVD; and I can finally say that I've learned something from it. Like Uncle Ben taught each and every one of us; and like my dad taught me... "With Great Power, Comes Great Responsibility."
