What each final swing means Spider-man 1: responsibility Spider-man 2: relief TASM 1: fresh start Into the spider-verse: confidence FFH: joy NWH: sacrifice
facts, the track is so heroic and cathartic sounding, and his movement are so agile, and you head and feel each firing of the webshooters. The sound design is so good. I think the first one shows a pretty adrenaline fuelled swinging like a pendulum, but that one looks so much more skillful and maybe even more thrilling.
@@flightlesslord2688 Hell yes. I've always maintained that the Spidey score from Andrews movies is my favorite of the three by far. With Toms coming in second. Yea, Tobeys started it, and at the time was great. But when compared to Andrew and Tom's, the score for Tobeys movies just seems lacking now. It just doesn't give me the same "tingles" that Andrew and Tom's does lol. I also really like Andrews opening swinging scene from his second movie.
You can clearly see the difference between the final swing of FFH and NWH. In the former, it was light and full of theatrics, showing that Peter is still a kid. But in NWH, the way he swings is smooth and not flashy, like he he has matured and became no-nonsense. Side note: I just realized that the ending of NWH was similar to Spider-Man PS4's start.
That's insane to think about. The o Ps4 Spiderman tying into the MCU'S. The Avengers tower is in Spiderman remastered/ps4. He makes a comment about them being on the west coast. The west coast avengers possibly. Cap and Iron man not being there and they come under new management and Peter sticks to his own city, :p Amazing material man
@@christiank7166 oh yeah and also in miles morales he crafts the holo drones and the thing that projects the hologram robots is the spider robot that is in home coming in Pete’s suit which made me wonder about of its related to the Mcu and also why would we the home made suit if we collect the back packs why not peters first Spiderman suit not the wrestle one tho the one he made after that which is not the classic suit we see in game due to the tech
I mean, going off of what Across the Spider-verse’s explanation of “canon” events, it’s possible that every Peter Parker experiences a run-down apartment and rent-paying moment in their lives 😂
Dude the Spider-Man 1 and 2 final swings are my favorites till this day (i absolutely love the others too, each final swing has a different meaning, but man these movies are beyond comparison)
Holland's swing is the most emotional for me. I was newly single after college, looking for shitty apartments I couldn't afford, family members died of cancer, the ones who were alive don't reach out, very few friends, it was a struggle trying to live on my own for the first time.... then I watched No Way Home on opening night. I got teary seeing him move into his apartment. I felt the same as him.
That’s why everyone loves Spider-Man. Ultimately he’s just a struggling guy who sacrifices his own desires and well being for the greater good. No matter how much he struggles, he knows he has to keep going. That’s what he means to me anyway.
Tbh not trying to sound like a jerk, Tobey is more related towards you than Tom and Tobey is known for being the most relatable Spider-Man out of the bunch
Tobey's swinging is graceful and simplistic. Andrew's swinging is confident and flashy. Miles' swinging is free-spirited and artistic. Tom's swinging is youthful and rowdy.
I love the spider verse final swing scene. I love the ending monologue and how he’s still continuing to be himself while being Spider-Man. The whole “anyone can wear the mask”. SPIDER VERSE CANT COME ANY SOONER LIKE DAMN CANT BELIEVE WE STILL GOTTA WAIT A WHOLE YEAR STILL
Well, do I have great news for you, bro! The wait is almost finally over. We are now officially less than a month away from jumping back into the Spider-Verse with Miles again.
Something about TASM's web swinging just feels so satisfying to watch. The physics just feels a level above the rest but i can't quite put my finger on why. Maybe it's the way the web shoots out and stick to the wall or how Andrew Garfiels rolls and parkours and finds good swing angles....
The most amazing thing about these scenes is that each person has their favorite, and it's okay, because they are all excellent and carry a different meaning. You may like one more than the other because of nostalgia, or because of what it represents in the story or simply because of the aesthetics, and it's okay, because they all represent the character we love
I love every swing and Spiderman rendition 😭 but Tom in NWH brings me back to the 60s Era Spider-Man. That new flex of responsibility and Maturity. Gosh.
Can we just appreciate how Tom Holland is now a mature spiderman and how his swing has imroved ps I can't wait for Tobey Andrew and Tom holand in secret wars and miles
Love how each Spider-Man truly has his own unique style which also depends on their personality. Tobey has this strong, graceful, and simplistic swinging - and he is that Spider-Man, taking his tasks extremely seriously Andrew is very acrobatic with lots of different tricks and fun moves, which are sometimes not even practically necessary - and he is that kind of Spidey, a bit cocky and want to show off Miles Morales has this truly teen and very artistic attitude - he is purely having fun, with lots of creative moves, while still learning the ropes of how to be Spider-Man Tom's - I kind of find it hard to pinpoint a single description, probably because it changes so much. First, he has this fun and free style, kind of reminding me of how any teenager would act. At the end of NWH, he is actually reminding me more of Tobey - very serious and confident, with not much of that youthful optimism left. Probably reflecting how his life made a complete 180 turn
Crazy how Spiderman 2 remains the best even after all these years, improvements to CGi and etc.. it's just so cool, the vertigo, the soundtrack, the color grade with the sunset
@@SpideyWarsStudios The first TASM is just too dark and emo on a visual standpoint, it's a godawful movie overall, the only positive aspects are related to the chemistry between Gwen and Peter (even with the bizarre stalking moments) and the animal-like movements of Spiderman. Now, if we're talking about the second TASM, the slinging scenes are waaaay better, sure, but that movie doesn't have a final slinging sequence, instead they shoved Rhino in there
@@RRRRRRRRR33 strongly disagree. I'm willing to bet you grew up in Tobey and have never read a Spider-Man comic. Cause if u did, you'd know the accuracy of Andrew's portrayal and TASM 1 in general is amazing. I could write an entire essay if u want, on why TASM is amazing, and everybody only hates it cause it's not the Raimi trilogy, even tho it's objectively better than the Raimi trilogy. But that's not even what I was talking about. I just meant the final swing was way better than Spider-Man 2. While I do agree that it's a shame we didn't get a final swing, I can't deny that rhino fight was awesome lol
@@SpideyWarsStudios Objectively its nowhere close to the first and second Raimi Spidey. I like TASM 1 for Andrew but his character is completely off in that movie as well as the pacing and the final swing was very CGI with and slow motions. No offence to people that loves that movie but its not very comicbook accurate, I like that they tried something new but its not a great movie.
Even though final swings are the most common ending for Spider-Man movies you still get different feelings from each one. I just think that’s amazing. (No pun intended)
@@ETGamer-yl6dm Andrew’s has meaning too wth. After everything that happens in TASM 1 and hearing Uncle Ben’s voicemail one last time. Everything he says in it is basically encapsulated in his final swing.
Miles's first leap of faith scene from Spider-Verse with "Whats up Danger" playing, is better than his ending swing, imo. Just the whole feel of it was so well done. Like with the whole falling but rising visual of it, when they flip it as he falls. For an animated Spider-Man to be as good as Spider-Verse is, really does say a lot. I've watched it many times and it's just as good each time. Hell, if not better each time, because I tend to notice new things each time. Not to mention the style of animation they chose for it, with actually using the comic book storyboard art visuals and what not was a bold choice, and yet it seriously paid off and makes it stand out. I can't wait for #2 and 3.
The Final Swing for Spider-Man FFH is amazing, always has been. The hate it gets is completely unnecessary; it's okay to have a favorite Spider-Man era, and while I did grow up with Tobey's rendition, I still love all the moments from the other two live action Spider-Man films. I'm sure we all know that Shameik Moore's rendition of Spider-Man as Miles Morales in ITSV is phenomenal
It’s arguably the worst final swing out of the bunch no bias towards it but it isn’t BAD as people are saying it is but it doesn’t give that feeling like Spider-Man 1 and 2 and the new NWH one and TASM 1 was full of excitement and a fresh start but FFH just seemed off
@@StillSymbiotic Idk I just like the joy that was showcased in that final swing. It didn't feel out of place because after all the "mistakes" he had encountered throughout the film, he made it out on top with everyone still by his side, even starting a new relationship. It depicts joy and a start of something new, like TASM. But we all know the events that follow after FFH... and it isn't pretty... which leads to imo one of the best Final Swings ever in No Way Home.
@@themoviecritic1092 All of them are the best, the only one that sucks in FFH and but Spider-Man 1 and 2 are definitely the top swings in the Spider-Man trilogy
What I love is that it's a good parallel to NWH. He's on top of the world, back home, with the girl of his dreams, and on his way to a date with her. Watching these movies back to back is really heartbreaking because it shows how probably the last moment for a long time where he's truly happy.
@@hatakeanime1254 Your name is "hatake anime" and you listen to anime openings and movie soundtracks instead of actual music.. I'm sure you know a lot about taste, weeb
@@Zer0effort tasm 2 had a final swinging scene there just was a combat scene and your just another if these ships who think spiderman 3 is bad cause you never analyse the moovie (also far from home and homecoming are really bad moovies)
@@axesaintpatate2822 Listen I love Spider-Man 3 as much as 1 and 2, I've haven't seen TASM 2 in a while so I don't remember the whole thing as for Tom's movies; I think Homecoming is okay, I don't really Like Far From Home and No Way Home is pretty good
Holy shit the difference between far from home and no way home is night and day. The music (props to Giacchino) the somber tone in nwh,etc and at the same time it's literally night and day lmao.
i used to hate Andrew's spider when i am young but now i want to thank to sony to bring so many spideys with different perspectives and unique personalities and at the core they all are the same. i love each and every one of them.
Toms swing is him finally becoming Spider-Man. Tobeys swing is he just getting started. Andrews swing is he’s finally become the hero his city needs. Miles swing is well u know he’s his own Spider-Man
Tbh,when i first saw Andrews Spiderman,I loved it because it was so realistic but still fictional.I hate seeing people appreciating him only now after no way home.
Spiderman was my first superhero movie to watch since i was 3. And sometimes I was like my goal was to be spiderman n like andrew but I learned something that always to be brave during terrifying situation like tom Holland . Really this movies Are made to explain us we should be brave untill terrifying situation goes away and help people and have a kind heart like Peter Parker. And miles s swing at the end when miles told you can wear the mask and it means he wanted to be spiderman hes goal. And we can understand by this that we can also wear our life's ambition and score a goal ❤
So good endings. I get chills from all except the FFH one. My favorite ending is still the OG, mainly because of the narration and music that transitions into the swing. But as far as spidey stuff/swings goes, I have to give it to TASM. The TASM swing has such good sounds!
I feel like NWY swing brought back the weighty and visceral feel that the original Spidey movies had. I loved Tom's spiderman but the cgi made it feel rather...weightless or superficial or fake while Tobeys spiderman had this real epic feel. That NWH ending was perfect
Tom's finally swing in no way home is probably my new favorite, the somber but uplifting score by Michael Giachinno. The classic red and blue suit, and of course by that point he's alot more percise with movements while still being youthful.
While I'm not the biggest fan of MCU Spidey, I gotta give it to NWH; definitely the best final swing. Just, the music, visuals and emotional weight behind it. Spectacular.
I remember Toby’s swing as a kid and finally getting to see a real life spider-man swing and thinking that it was amazing. I’ll never get that first time swing again. I’ll admit Holland’s first swing has grown on me. The camera work is really good. The way it pulls in Tight on the glide, the use of the reflection in the windows, the points where it makes you feel like a passenger AND a bystander turning your head as Spider-man swings by. Impressive stuff. I’ve always HATED TASM swing. The Swing at the beginning at the TASM2 is god tier
I respect your decision for the TASM swing as it's not everyone's specific cup of tea Do you mind me asking why? I'm not trying to start anything I swear, I'm curious is all ^^
@@umbrellazandthangz1539eah I’m wondering why too because I feel like TASM’s swing follows source material a whole lot better and looks more spider-like, as Tobey’s looks like he’s Superman or something
This is why I don't have a favorite version Spider-man. Each of them are executed well in their own right and get totally different vibes each that it's hard to pick a which I like better, though I completely get why everyone chose their favorite. Edit: upon further rewatch, Spiderverse has a slight edge over the others lol
Nwh final swing gets me in the feel, peter's all alone with no one knowing who he is, but he keep being spider man showing how he mature, and how his sacrifice was for the safety of the world, and his love ones
1. Andrew (idk I’ve always gotten chills watching that last scene and its strong chills) 2. Miles (song and the animation was perfect for that scene) 3. Tom but NWH (instrumental and the web slinging felt iconic especially with his new real spider-man suit cant wait to see more of it down the road) reason i didnt like the FFM end swing was bc yea he was reacting to the environment and stuff but it felt like marvel maybe used to much cgi and that made the web swinging look fake my personal opinion i like when sony uses real swinging physics cause your more so bringing the character to life like with TASM 2 opening scene was perfect
i noticed something cool: tobey's both scenes had orange hue and were set up in the evening, resembling how even though everything worked out well in the end but his life still has a few problems, he's kinda broke and only has MJ and Aunt May as people he can talk to. Meanwhile Andrew's scene is dark resembling the tone of his films, lots of people dying and traumatic stories for his spiderman. on the other hand far from home was in a completely bright and colourful set up resembling how good Tom's Peter's life was at that point, everyone who he could ask for was there. And then in No Way home its dark again, because he lost everyone, all the people he knew, all the fame and money he had, the suits everything. its dark to resemble that tone.
"anyone can wear the mask" true! you just need the skills to create a reinforced yet comfortable and flexible outfit with extremely advanced gadgets and, of course, webshooters, and a borderline genius intellect.
Miles actually says it in the game. You gotta do about 12 air tricks before landing (or swinging) and he shouts “Spider-Man, Baby!” Cracks me up every time lol
