No. It was shot as a teaser. Never with the intention of being in the movie. Sony hired a new director who had only done music videos at the time and gave him 2 million to shot a scene for a trailer.

Sam Raimi never directed this scene. Strictly a teaser.

+Zack Woodd It is. That scene originally was in James Cameron's script for Spider Man movie back in 90's. Later when Cameron left the project, Raimi took alot scenes from Cameron's script. And this scene is one of them.

it’s impossible however for the sirens to respond to the towers because the film was filmed from january to july of 2001 and if reshoots took place in september then the crew would stop filming

Also, I know this certain tragedy didnt effect you or others in any way, but showing just a tiny amount of respect for those who were actually effected and lost their treasured loved ones is all the general public asks for....You dont have to give a long ass eulogy for every single person that died.. just a simple "RIP for those people" ... it's easy as that. Saying a statement about why cant everyone get over 9/11 will not help you. It wont help anyone. You'll just have angry and upset people @ing you for days, which I'm sure you dont want. Thanks! I've heard that rumor too. But the way the trailer was shot, looked liked they were filming it like a typical robbery movie (from the early 2000's) and unexpecting ending with Spider-Man. Specifically tricking the audience who didn't know they were watching a trailer for Spider-Man.

+ANDREW HURST you can see the reflection of the WTC in his lenses during the first scene that you see his suit, in later releases, they blacked it out so you couldn't see it, and as a kid I always wondered why they looked like sunglasses for that one scene

I didn't mean that I wanted to see the clip in the movie even if people were against it. I meant that it would've been amazing if 9/11 never happened, resulting in this clip being OK for everyone to see, and the world overall having a different history. I hate 9/11 as much as everyone else because of the destruction and pain it caused so many people.

All I meant by my comment was that, I wish that 9/11 never happened, and that this clip could've gone past the editing stage. I didn't mean anything else. I hope I cleared up confusion, and that I didn't come off as super defensive. I was just explaining.
