i don't understand the hatred for Spiderman 3's plotline honestly, the symbiotes in the comic have always been litteral demons generating from their connection with the terrible Void that is Oblivion's void, they are not evil just beacuse they are basically demons but they adapt to the host's feelings and inner thoughts which can result in bad behavior, Peter became the own demons he created in his mind by allowing the symbiote to take control in a delicate phase of his life, the edginess it's only natural to be there, what u expect Venom to give u a kiss? Spiderman went crazy in the comics, the animated series, he will do the same in the movies, i don't know why people expect any different. MJ have always kinda been a gold digger in the comics they aren't married since 2007 and just look at the recent paul fiasco going on, really the only thing that really was a huge let down in the movie is Venom himself when he possess Eddie, overall it was a great spiderman movie imo
Some movie "critics" said this was cringy I think the goal was to convey that he has turned from a good guy to a douche , which it did. It was never meant to make him look cool.
Yet he had 2 attractive women throwing themselves at him. And embarrassed a coworker so badly in front of everyone, He went to church to pray on his downfall. Make it make sense. If he acted like this irl, any woman, even one that had a crush on him would laugh or run away. And lots of the judgment Brock felt would’ve been shared with Peter if it was just Peter that liked his new personality. Tobey just isn’t charismatic at all, at least not in the way he was going for here
My entire theater was laughing so hard at so many classic quotes and scenes. And everyone clapped and cheered when it ended. It was such a heartwarming experience.
I’m a few years older than you, though I remember seeing this movie around the time it came out and sitting on the theater stairs at one point. Didn’t recall much, apart from certain scenes.
From people despising this movie to loving it. I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again, this is arguable the best Spider-Man movie along with Spider-Man 2
I don’t think you understand just because people laugh at a scene now that it’s become a meme, doesn’t mean they love the movie. Spider-Man 3 isn’t awful but it’s still not very good. Personally I like it but more so as a guilty pleasure, not because I think it’s a well made film
It's a masterpiece because that's exactly how people would react to some weirdo doing finger guns and randomly to strangers while walking down the street
Avi Arad: "Put Venom. He sells more toys." Sam Raimi: "But I already have the whole thing planned out." Avi Arad: "I don't care, put Venom in the movie." Sam Raimi: "But..." Avi Arad: "Put Venom or I'll put dirt in your eye." Sam Raimi: "Okay, you want Venom? I'll give you Venom, ashole."
Avi was the guy that started all the memes. After he threatened to "throw dirt in their eyes", Peter yelled "It's BULLY TIME" and BULLIED ALL OVER HIS ENEMIES. Truly a masterpiece staple of any Sony movie, which was followed by the successful masterpieces that is "It's Morbin Time" and "It's Kraven Time"
If Sony didn't change Sam Raimi's vision for Spider-Man 3 we would never get this meme also were not gonna see the OG Peter Parker (the one voiced by Chris Pine) doing that dance in Into the Spiderverse
Despite the clear as day studio interferes from Sony on this film, it has aged like fine wine. Now that's an achievement that *_Spider-Man 3_* will always have.
God i wish i wasnt such a boy scout and recorded the movie when i saw it in theaters a few days ago. The audience literally CHEERED when he came out of the store with the new clothes. It was amazing.
I remember watching this back then.. i remember going like "tf is going on??". Everyone is the cinema was just laughing their asses off 😂 Back in school, a lot of people imitated this. Every time they enter the room they were dancing or point like what he did
Man oh man, I still remember the buzz around this movie in India back in 2007. I was in my hometown for summer vacations and visited my aunts house with the large TV just to watch this movie on Sony. But as it turned out, that was a directors cut and not the actual film. I watched the movie a few months later and was mind blown!
There was something about watching new yorkers on the streets in the raimi trilogy that felt so special back then like they had a story of their own somehow
