trololololo agreed. The studio just tried to squeeze too many things, subplots, and villains into this. However, Spider-Man 3 has its moments; the action is pretty good, this scene is badass, Sandman’s birth is fantastic, Sandman’s character was good, and the score is amazing (just like its predecessors)
@@thecasul1524 The composer didn’t do that, the studio reused some of the old music. This score of Spidey going to church and the Symbiote theme he all did by himself

Kids today could still construct a better sentence than your dumbass can, atleast. Don't know why people are acting high and mighty because they watched the Raimi movies but it's pretty annoying, especially considering the fact that people didn't even think they were anything special when they came out.

watched the movie in theaters when i was 7, now i'm 21 and i understand the phases Peter went through and we can see them explained in this song and is so amazing. Time flies.
Am I the only person that likes the black suit from spider man 3 over the original one from the comics? I like how it is a black version of his regular suit. I also love all the scenes with the black suit in the movie. We go from seeing Peter as a total nerd to seeing him being hot tempered and aggressive. I wish they would have just stayed with Venom in the movie rather than doing him and sandman. It would be really cool seeing Peter going against something that used to love.
Yeah but they could've done better, like removing the web part of the suit and make the honey comb pattern more visible to simulate the actual black suit but itll still look like cloth, and they eyes should just be all white with less reflection. And use that part on top of the hand like in the comics but make it more silver like
The part where Peter starts ripping off the suit (2:32) will forever be badass! Edit 2023: it’s still badass, and I like how it actually resembles the moment from the original comic

2:33 Like the ticking sound. Like Peter is running out of time to get this suit off before its got him for good, and the transition to the Venom theme at 3:12 is so good. As Peter removes the suit, the ticking goes away as Peter as beaten the race against the clock and it turns more aggressive as we go full on transformation with Eddie.
Iam now 23 ..I remeber when iwas young watching this scene not knowing how dark and badass this actually is ...I project this scene to my daily struggle in life hoping every thing will be eventually alright ...
No one can make that promise, but there is a hero in all of us, gives us strength, makes us noble, and finally allows us to die with pride. It's the choices that make us who we are, and we can always chose to do what's right. Sometimes that includes sacrifice, even of its the thing we want the most.

the first notes of this ost are just beautiful, calm, relaxing. then everything goes nuts with peter rejecting the symbiote. this probably is in my top 3 ost of spider-man movies
I like how they play a bit of triumphant music when Peter is shown to be free of the black suit, then quickly switch back to ominous when it cuts to it bonding to Eddie.
This score just gives off a depressing and guilt at the beginning and it slowly builds up to a dread and evil vibe tune like it's telling something without words but just brilliant. The whole raimi trilogy soundtrack is just brilliant but this one just stood out to me because it's saying something. I love that shit
Even though Sam Rami didn’t intend to put venom in the movie, the black suit worked SO well in his favor and theme of forgiveness in the movie. It gave a leeway for Peter to be more arrogant and angry without tampering with his character unnecessarily or unnaturally. It already showed he was too caught up in himself way before the suit got a hold of him but when it did it showed that it changed him. It was such a good edition and if they REALLY wanted venom, they could’ve waited for Spiderman 4 and have the movie just be the black suit arc with no venom.
I agree. Even though Sam Raimi didn't want Venom in this movie, he did still an incredible job. Honestly, including the black suit in a third film just feels right. The last third act in a trilogy is usually when things get very dramatic. Darkness comes in. Not everyone can survive. Using the black suit really set the tone for the final installment of the trilogy even though they intended to do more Raimi Spider-Man films after this one. Plus, including Venom also works because with having Goblin and Doc Ock in the other two films, the entire trilogy managed to include all three of Spider-Man's archenemies. Venom was indeed too brief in the film, but he was still used in a cool way for the climax. Since Sam Raimi did a great job with Evil Dead, there was no doubt that he would succeed in making Venom terrifying. Like when Peter is looking all around him as Venom is hiding in the shadows and that his spider sense won't alert him when the sneak attack happens. That is pure Raimi horror. If the other sequels weren't canceled, just imagine if Raimi did get to use Carnage. People were saying how Jim Carrey was in talks to play Cletus Kassidy. I honestly would've liked that better than Woody Harrelson.
0:44 is my favorite part where you see spiderman at church top in the rain. wil regret. realising that the suit he is wearing doesnt solve problems. it only makes the problems and suffering peter has been enduring ever since he got it.
Yeah to bad this Spider-Man got bad reviews cuz it wasn’t great supposedly like the first and second but I’ll always love this one i never had a problem with it and still till this day don’t have a issue with the movie 🖤🔥 🕸
I hope they have a similar scene and pose in the cutscene like this in the Spider-Man 2 game somehow. It’d be epic especially if you have the Raimi black suit equipped.
Maybe (and probably) I am misinterpretating this pose but it reminds me of huddled dead spiders, as if Spiderman was deep down dead. He's not the Spiderman he used to be, the symbiote killed him somehow. The symbolism here is strong because after that pose that may represent death, he will reborn in a church, naked like a baby and come back to his usual identity

Christopher Young was a true genius for the music in this movie. I mean, just that one piano note at 0:05 as it starts really sets the tone immediately when Peter realizes what he did to MJ.
The first film in the trilogy was the first superhero movie I ever saw and Spider-Man has been my favorite Marvel hero ever since. Thank you, Sam Raimi, for putting your love of Spidey's comics into this trilogy.

This scene is so powerful because despite Spiderman being the epitome of The hero, he's coming to terms (or realisation) that he also possesses a dark side (The shadow), of which we all possess. Its an important realisation because once you become aware that you possess this darkness you then get to choose whether you let it control you, or you control it. Spiderman chooses the latter. This is also why Peter becomes so egotistical under the influence of the symbiote.
