I have no doubt in my mind that that's how Venom will finally get the spider on his chest, wanting to be a protector (symbol) like his new friend Spider-Man.
I dont know how or if they even could legally but be cool if all the main spiderverse characters venom an older madame web morbius and kraven connected with the 616 and Tobeys and Andrews universes.
That’s never going to happen now as The Devil’s Reign story arc is now doomed to either remain in an eternal cliffhanger or condemned to a much less espectacular and low budget ending compared to the comics. If they do appear it won’t be with Daredevil nor the Kingpin as that team up will now never happen in live action MCU thanks to Sony

Street level spiderman ended when he went to space. Even with everyone forgetting him, he's still the same character with the same experience. He's a level 50 character returning to early game areas
Spidey + Venom + Knull has a ton of potential. For just the two, taking on Knull might be a tall order, so add in a Spidey variant, possibly Toby or Garf, and even Sony would have a hard time effing up
I could see a way to make this work. Venom the Last Dance ends with Knull escaping his prison and gaining access to the Multiverse wanting to cover it in darkness. Meanwhile, Venom and Eddie end up in 616/199999 either via incursions or the hivemind. The reason they end up in 616 is because of Venom leaving a piece in that universe. Next Avengers 5 and Spider-Man 4 happen at the same time. Spider-Man wouldn't be in Avengers 5 because they contact him and Peter gets busy dealing with Venom. Knull would start causing incursions. This would later motivate Doom to create battleworld seeing all these incursions caused by a combination of Knull and Doctor Strange. Spider-Man 4 would consist of Venom teaming up with Spider-Man to somehow stop Knull. How? Idk. Considering Spider-Man can somewhat hurt Thanos, maybe it isn't to much of a stretch depending on how powerful they make movie Knull. Anyway, by the end, Eddie and Venom get separated or Eddie dies. Venom attaches to Peter. Peter would be considered the perfect match for Venom. At this point the end of Avengers 5 happens, and the battleworld is formed. Secret Wars happens, and Spider-Man shows up in the Black Suit. Tobey might try and warn Tom, if he remembers him, but Tom assures him this Venom is a good guy.

Seeing the video thumbnail it’d be sick if the next trilogy was him working his way down from Multiversal threats to friendly neighborhood again. So it’d be like Spider-Man: King in Black (Multiversal, symbiotic storyline), to Spider-Man: Kingdom of Crime (larger scale, semi-Multiversal finally resolving the Sony-verse villains with the Sinister Six maybe meet more of the MCU villains like a new Rhino or Osborn), then Spider-Man: King-pin (team up with Daredevil to take down Kingpin, entirely street level). Though honestly I would’ve preffered if they did it the other way around because introducing the MCU to Knull and killing them off in their Max second appearance? Feels wrong. Would’ve been better if it started with street level again and Spidey goes thru the symbiote storyline. Maybe Daredevil could help him learn to control/communicate with the symbiote, until something bad happens when they take down kingpin setting up the sinister six movie then crechendo-ing with Knull and such
Spiderman 4: King In Black is as insane as Iron Man 2: Infinity Saga would be. Its as insane as shoving the entire 10 year long Infinity Saga into one Iron Man sequel.
People complain about this saying, "i want a street level story" we already have. 7 of those. Naw, I'm not interested in another street level movie from Spider-Man. I'm glad Knull is happening. Y'all need to stop having unbelievable expectations like the comics. You know goddamn well. Knull will be different from the comics.
I mean you need a mix of both street level and larger scale to make things work imo. I think doing a street level spider-man 4, a spider-man and Venom Spider-man 5 and then a massive spiderverse spider-man 6 would have been a better progression.
I hate this idea. Knull should not be a villain in a Spider-Man movie, because this setup implies that Spidey and Venom will be able to beat him in some way. If this would be the case they would have to take away a huge part of Knulls powers which is somewhat disappointing.
I really hope if this is the case for Spiderman 4 they don't rush Knulls development The King in Black story was huge and years in the making it definitely needs time to develop if they have any hope to make it work on screen.
If Knull and Eddie cross over into the MCU, I would prefer him to be how Dr. Strange was involved in No Way Home. Come in, set up the story and be contained for the remainder of Act 1, all of Act and part of Act 3. He can come back in for the conclusion of the story. Spiderman can be in Venom 3's post credit scene. But I feel it would need to focus more on Spiderman and his journey and bonding with the symbiote in the 616 leading into Secret Wars and then when he unbonds with the symbiote it would make sense to go back to the ground level story.
I think this rumor is false. The reason I say that, is because They will use a recast actor to portray Peter Parker and that actor needs to be 21 years old, but during the film will actually be 17 years old, because during the events of Madame Web, Peter Parker was born during the year 2003.
Madame web and morbius are still redeemable, if used right with venom and spiderman. My prayers honestly go towards kraven, he is top five original villains for me.
Honestly if I have to wait until a movie that ends up venom and Spider-Man comes out before I see the ground level with Daredevil and kingpin and all the other street levels villains I'm okay with waving. Sure give us that for Spider-Man 5 if we get to see venom and Spider-Man actually done correctly
I really dislike the whole Kingpin/Stree-Level talk, by now the mcu is too big plus it’s the multiverse saga, as well we had so many street-level movies from SM1 until far from home. So since the whole cinematic universe is reaching its finish, let him have fitting stories
I really hope they get the story just right for this film. This would be truly awesome if Tom Holland's Spider-Man and Tom Hardy's Venom end up teaming up in a film. Hopefully they eventually plan a street level Spider-Man story.
I kind of wanted a more grounded story. It would be a good balance between the big fights and the small fights. The big fights wouldn't feel big without the small ones. I would want the big fights to feel special by having smaller fights every now and again.
So the real question is... Did Sony see the fall of Marvel Studios before everyone else and hold out knowing that the quality would slip, which in reverse now means Marvel NEEDS Sony for Spider-Man and not the other way around. If so, the Heads of Sony should be given a lot of negotiating credit.
I don’t see a Hardy-Holland crossover ever happening. That’s why Sony is gobbling up characters because once they’re cemented in Sony, Marvel can’t use it without permission
Even tho a grounded film would be welcome, it does make a lot of sense to have a multiversal story if it’s happening in between Doomsday and Secret Wars. I’m here for it.
If we gonna get a King in Black adaptation, I better see 5 films, and at least 10 major hero deaths before Knull's defeat, because Knull is second to none in the Marvel Universe (except Black Winter and a few others, but they don't count because I doubt Marvel is gonna try and adapt any of them anytime soon, since those characters are basically unbeatable.)
Yeah they _cannot_ do The King in fcking Black in one Venom and one Spiderman movie. And I cant figure out why theres only a few of us that aren't cool with that happening.
Marvel already screwed Thor: Love and Thunder. They ruined Gorr, he was supposed to wield Knull's sword, the All-Black Necrosword which is what turned him into Gorr the God Butcher. Without Knull's sword he was just a worthless being on a planet that didnt have a name. And he became the God Butcher very long time before he first encountered Thor which was in 9th century Iceland. So dont expect Knull to be done justice in the movies.
Ugh, I can't even begin to articulate how much I want to see them 3 on the same screen. Holland, Hardy, & who ever is gonna play knull. That'd be it for me right there.

As much as I'd love to see a much more grounded film, especially for Spider-man, this feels like it'd fit more with the build-up to Secret Wars; and if this means Knull, then yeah! I hope they can still do justice to Peter's part of the story where no one knows him. That story could still be its own movie without cameos or crossovers and I'd still down for that. Godspeed, Marvel!
Theories I've heard: Venom losing, then somehow entering the MCU 616 without knowing knull went in asw, then Peter has to help Eddie beat knull but loses again and Peter gets injured causing the MCU venom drop to heal him and he keeps it until sw. Knull fights doom in SW and dies. Venom and Eddie getting separated, in that universe due to knull. Toward the end Eddie realises that the only other place he could find venoms symbiote was the MCU. He finds out Peter in 616 already has it in him so he finds anti venom and has to fight Peter for it. Then they find out they jeed to find knull but they lose
As long as they don't flop Spider Man 4. I'm all in for it. Just create another great spider Man movie and action packed with martial arts. And quality story.
the timing is better for a more street level story before building back up or surprising the audience with something more multiversal or epic, but like you said, that's not in the cards any longer. Should still be really good especially for leading up to a symbiote for spiderman.
100% would have preferred a smaller Spidey film team up with Daredevil. That would have been amazing! This could be a great film though so I will hold out judgement until I see something more official
If you make the film 2-3 hours you can do both. The best thing based on release date is to make a disney plus series thats street level and grounded and then make that series lead directly into spider man 4. So act 1 of the move(first 30-45 minutes is street crime as usual) is with the threat of knull coming and knull should be a catalyst launching them into battle world but spiderman somehow gets the symbiote before he gets to battleworld
