Gwen *did* realize Miles had powers when he got stuck to her. Notice she didn't freak out about it, and she told him, "It's fine, just relax!" Because she knows how those powers work, and knows that he'd unstick if just calmed down.

fun fact when they're on the run from doc ock and miles is learning to swing in the air, his animation is in less FPS than peter's to show he needs to improve and get used to it, becoming faster and smoother!! the animation in this is epic

The way this movie is designed is that you can pause it at any given moment, and you'll have something that could go in a comic panel.

fun fact: spiders are disgusting look-wisely but they are actually very helpful to the point where they are called "farmer's best friends" because they help dispose of bugs and they bite crows in the ass making the crows fly away

Also another neat thing they did: Miles' frame rate is significantly lower in the beginning, but after he gets bitten and fully leans into his powers, it gradually becomes the same frame rate as the other Spider characters.

When Stan Lee was creating Spider-man, one of the "Marvel Comics" executives told him that the character wouldn't work because people hate spiders. who would imagine that this character would become one of the most iconic Marvel characters

You went from hating Spider-Man to half way through saying “you have five seconds to let my boy go”

Canonically, at least as established in the comics, the webbing breaks down into powder after just one hour.

Best example of how strong Spiderman actually is comes from when a villain took control of his body and tried to "be a hero" (comics are weird man), well when he punched one of the bad guys he literally tore his jaw off. Spiderman has said a bunch of times how he has to hold his punches or he could accidentally kill someone.

So not a lot of people really notice this but after Peter B and Miles land and go splat on the sidewalk, there's another cool detail there. It happens just after Miles asks if the crowd could go around them. Notice that one man actually ignores this request, is talking on his cell and actually steps over them instead of going around. The distracted man on the phone, if you look at his outfit and design carefully, is Stan Lee which is another small cameo by him as he walks over the Spidermen.

Fun fact Gwen did notice when Miles got stuck on her hair, she was trying to get him to unstick. She said “just relax.”

when peter b was saying we taught him that right. it was actually the moves Peter Parker from miles' universe did earlier in the movie

A very funny but contradictory video, totally get the spider fear but it's not like he is an actual spider so I don't see the dislike factor. Fun fact ish: The part where Miles jumped off the building and broke the glass it is established that they have to calm down to unstick from something and because the glass broke after Miles jumped off it means that he hesitated just a bit

I watched it when it came out in theatres couple years ago and i did not like it, i watched it again tonight and i give it a 8/10 for some reason, everytime i watch a spiderman movie for the second time i always like it more than the first time. Great video!

I love the detail that Miles is animated with half the framerate of the other spider-men until the final battle to visually convey his inexperience and awkward movents using his powers. There was so much thought put into the visual language/storytelling of this film aside from what was spoken.

Oh you gotta see all the other spider man films. Sam Raimi Trilogy, Marc Webb duology, and the mcu ones. Also the two venom movies Most green goblin iterations are just a guy in a suit, but occasionally he’s an actual goblin monster, like in the Ultimate comics, which Miles originated from You think Kingpin shops? 😂 He rich. Custom suits. Before Spider Gwen became a thing, Gwen Stacy was most known for being Spider Man’s girlfriend that died. Huge comic book moment. Green Goblin finds out who Spidey really is, kidnaps Gwen, throws her off a bridge, Spidey catches her with a web but the stop is so sudden that the whiplash snaps her neck She did figure out Miles had powers. It’s blink and you’ll miss it but when his hand is stuck to her hair, she tells him to relax. Later Peter B tells Miles he needs to relax to unstick. Aunt. Aunt May. Spider Ham is a real thing, from before this movie 😂 (so are Noir and Peni). More kid focused marvel comics where all the characters are animals. Peni has a psychic link with the spider in her robot, and the spider doesn’t die every time. In the comics the spider that bit peter made like 3 or 4 other spider people i think 😂 Spidey in the post credits is Spider Man 2099, Miguell O’Hara, from that year. He went to the universe of the cartoon from the 60s 🕷

A lesson about Spiderman: As someone who loves comics and all things superheroes I can whole heartedly say that the movies dont really do Spiderman or his powers justice! Since Spiderman was created, besides a small change here or there, his powers have been relatively consistent throughout any reboot or new variation that has come along. With him and his powers being so consistent basically everyone knows he has super strength, Spider sense, he has web shooters and can climb walls but few people know that he can make his body sticky which helps him keep his mask on when hes fighting, someone trys to unmask him, or anything like that and it can help him carry people that are unconscious by sticking them to him back as well but even fewer people know how deep it really goes... anyways spiderman also has super agility, he heals faster, he has better/heightened senses, and so much more. Since then there has been many different versions of spiderman like Silk, Spider Ham, Spiderman 2099, The Scarlet Spider, Spiderwoman, Spider Gwen, and many more! Even after so many iterations the most widely know Spiderman is Peter Parker from (Earth 616). Do to the fact that he's is the longest running version of the character, some of the best displays of power and most iconic feats about spiderman are more than 90% likely to be Spiderman (Earth 616). Spiderman (Earth 616) is more in tune with his senses, he understands more about his powers so he uses them in more creative ways, he can think better, faster, and clearer under pressure because he is a more seasoned and has been through a lot. Using him we know that at his best his spider sense is fast enough to warn him about and cause him to react faster than the speed of light... not to mention his spider sense is so fast and so strong it can even cause his body to react before he has even registered he is in harm's way. With it being that powerful it can cause his spider sense to move him out of harm's way even when he gets knocked unconscious if needed, the thing is... Miles Morales has an even better spider sense so imagine how strong his is. Since spiderman fights so many non-superpowered beings then you wouldn't be dumb for thinking he's stronger than normal but not that much stronger but you would be wrong. He has knocked out a T-Rex with one punch and in one comic Dr. Otto Octavius switched bodies with spiderman and got into a fight with the scorpion only to very quickly realized that spiderman could have killed him at any point in time and there was nothing he could have done to stop it after he threw one punch and accidentally KNOCKED SCORPIONS JAW OFF HIS BODY!!! This isnt even scratching the surface, if you wasnt to learn more I would encourage you to check out a channel called fact fend on RU-vid.

Small things: - When Peter Parker does his hero-shot five pigeons fly behind him representing the five different Spider-people from the Multi-verse. - When Gwen laughs at Miles' bad joke she finds it funny because she's literally gotten there a week earlier before the story begins. - Gwen finally decides on the cover name WANDA, she attends the VISIONs Academy, an easter egg for two other Marvel characters. - After Miles trips and falls down the building he always has his shoes tied for the rest of the movie. - When they zip past the train for one or two frames you can see Stan Lee. - During the diner scene when Peter B. Parker talks about the place shutting down in his dimension you can see a food regulatory warning on the window. - Olivia's reveal as Doc Ock is in a way advertised. Her glasses are OCTagonal as are the lighting fixtures in her office. - When she talks with Kingpin after the chase she raises herself up on her tentacles to first get to eye-level with him, and then she rises above it. Implying that while he's the one calling the shots she's the one who put him up to it. - Gwen is a drummer, the upper bodies of drummers are jacked. - Aaron knew about the "great place" because he saw it while working for Kingpin. - Olivia says her friends call her Liv. Then later when she enters Aunt May's house Aunt May says, "oh great, it's Liv."

🕷 I am so happy to hear that you love this movie. The sequel is coming October 7th, 2022 (which has two parts), so I am looking forward to your reaction when it comes to streaming (most likely 2023). P.S. I am also afraid of spiders, but I love Miles Morales as Spider-Man.

@8:26 it's almost as if Stan Lee knew. He could tell that Miles was struggling to become a new Spider-Hero, but Stan offered him some wisdom that would ultimately help the newcomer in the long run.

I've watched this movie half a dozen times and never noticed the size of Mile's head when wearing the mask. It's a fine detail when you realise it's due to his hair

Its great to see more hard evidence that this movie isnt just good off fan service. As a major comic buff who's had experience with all of the spiderpeople involved in this movie, ive never really been confortable finalizing my beleif that this is one of the greatest movies of all time. But seeing how much someone with no experience (and who even went in to the movie disliking spider man) can enjoy this movie, yeah im pretty confident

Into the Spider-Verse is AMAZING. It's so visually stunning and beautiful. And Miles, precious boy, is one of my favorites! But when it comes to favorite Spider-Man I gotta pick Peter Parker from Marvel's Spider-Man (2018) for Ps4, developed by Insomniac Games. Favorite version of Peter Parker and just favorite Spider-Man overall. The story and characters in the game just blew me away. I like Tobey, Andrew and Tom for different things but Yuri Löwenthal as Peter Parker just is hands down my favorite.
