When this level began it was DO or DIE. Your heart would race incessantly, palms would become drenched with sweat as you would carefully time your jumps and swings with absolute precision. Doc Oak would get close, but with enough ingenuity and determination we would narrowly escape to the end and upon seeing the Sun as Spider-Man exits the facility, we raised our controllers in the air as we declared victory over what was easily one of the most memorable final levels in video games of that generation. Oh, and of course, that wonderfully irreverent ending that just culminates into the ultimate reason why most of us fell in love with these characters, particularly in this generation.
Today's games lack the charm and eccentricity of the games of the 90's with the exception of a couple the 90's games were a lot better at grabbing our attention.
Hero of Justice i didnt waste my childhood. Played a few games at 5 but i go outside the house and play with my friends frequently. So my child hood was good
T'Proxy that's nice to hear bro ; i have some friends who let their kids play on tablets at a young age and they can't ( don't ) keep them away from it = fucking up their childhood more or less ; it was available for PC as well, I might even still have the CD ;)
Hero of Justice yeah sadly thats what happened to my little brother. from when he was 5 he was introduced to tablets and games. and now he cant concentrate at school and always think about games. dont know how to fix this
I love it how im not the only one to have played that STUPID, CREEPY, SCARY AND HORRIFYING at a young age. Seriously the sounds were scaring the crap out of me so i couldnt concentrate on the actual level which was already hard enough ._.
Same mate, i used to panic when he screamed and got close I couldn't swing properly or jump fast enough. I felt so accomplished when I beat the game though.
The Nature Deathless Killer I don't think that's how his ability works. He can probably tell how many cards they're holding and whether they have a good hand or not based on their breathing and heart rate, but he can't actually see what cards they have.
This takes me back; that final level made my heart race and was one of the most scarring moments of my childhood. I think I was about 5 or 6 and 15 years later that screeching scream "DIIIE~~" still rips right through me. Gosh, the 90's were certainly memorable for the revolution of gaming: the 90's was the birth of the gaming industry for sure - glad to be a part of it, it was full of fond and exciting adventures in a new creative world! 😜
Didn't take me that long to beat this level, just had to get good at the turns. But one thing will always stick with me from this level, and that was the sound the monster made. Can't explain how much it scared me
Awesome dude! I love this game, it was my first and I still think it's actually one of the best. Epic story plot, and epic ending that keeps your heart pounding so hard and so manymother games especially old ones fail to do that. I'm glad people still play this game, it never gets old
Twenty years ago, when I first got to this level, between the anxiety of the chase, trying to keep away from the Carnage/Doc Ock symbiote, and the creepy, chilling sounds it made, it scared the hell outta me.
damn nolstalgia dude!!!!!! the anxiety during this was epic........ BTW he should have jumped and moved ahead ... it way faster rather than just running or webbing.
I remember always been so nervous doing this level as a kid... took me about 6 tries before i beat it. The relief i felt after i did it was amazing though LOL
My very first thought as a kid when I saw Monster Ock was try to punch him, then it instantly killed me in a horrific way lol I was like "... what the fuck??!!"
