It's an Easter egg for comics fans. In actual Marvel Comics Taskmaster debuted as an enemy of Avengers and was able to fight with top tiers of this team - Captain America, Iron Man, Black Widow and Hawkeye.

That's why he's in low difficulty. He IS a boss and a fairly good one but he's not a MAJOR boss, he's just a side quest one.

If you step to taskmaster with pro abilities then he should be 10x harder to beat in the second fight with countermeasures for every ability you’ve used extensively so far. He should also mimic Spider-Man’s moves, speed and agility while mixing in moves from other characters like captain America, hawkeye and iron man at the proficiency that the real deal can do it. In the comics, because of his combat prediction and photographic reflexes, he’s literally only been beaten by two people that he’s analyzed in a straight fight and that was Deadpool and agent x. Deadpool broke out into the Macarena, making him unpredictable and he knocked a stunned taskmaster out. Agent X beat him, but that was because agent x is a combination of three people’s personalities and movements (one of which is deadpool), so his normal movement is unpredictable. Jocasta also beat him after he wiped the floor with the Avengers because he hadn’t analyzed her yet.

This is his more modern outfit he's been using in the most recent comics. He ditched the cape for, in his own words, "better movement and freedom" and swapped the original costume for full on armor. I prefer his original costume, but its been growing on me.

actually taskmaster boss my least favorite after scorpion boss. i mean if they really wanna give us some deathstroke vibe they must use him in a daredevil or captain america game. spiderman bosses is just not the right place. taskmaster themed villains are about close distance, punching, blocking and hand to hand combat. spiderman is all about jumpings, dodgings, acrobatic kicking and webbing moves

Honestly it was the only underwhelming thing about this game. Everything else was off the chain. And the boss fights were great except for this one.

Agreed. Taskmaster is more fitted with such characters like Captain America, Punisher, Daredevil, Elektra, Black Widow and etc. More fighting skills and guns than actual superpowers.
