Spider-Man Reveals himself to J. Jonah Jameson From a comic book: Peter Parker: The Spectacular Spider-Man (2017-) #6 Creators: Chip Zdarsky, Adam Kubert, Jordie Bellaire.
It's lowkey hilarious how Jonah presents legitimate arguments about unaccountability and then Spiderman goes "Didn't you like hire supervillains to kill me?"
I'm on Peter's side with the mask thing. We've seen in comics what happens when people find out his identity and it always ends with the people he cares about being killed. I think if that wasnt a concern Peter would absolutely give up his identity. It's never been about avoiding accountability for him, he's just trying to protect more people. Spiderman's all about saving lives and revealing his identity would only put more at risk.
They both have valid points, but in reality the ball is more in peters court than Jonahs especially since Jonah felt so angry about Spiderman's existence he tried to take into his own hands several times LMAO 💀💀
@@Albatross0913 Absolutely but from Jonah's or another person's perspective the idea of a mask being being a tool used to avoid accountability is valid. Spiderman literally does answer to no one. Even when he messes up doing the right thing, there's no consequence other than the pressure he puts on himself. That being said I'm on his side haha
Props to the artists, they really gave everything a smooth look, Spidey and Jonah look both very softly drawn but are packed with the right amount of emotion to make it pop
Ngl, I cried for Jonah. When youre lost and alone, the world is cruel, and hate is easy to fuel your soul, but one person's actions can remind you that you aren't alone, and deserve great love.
That's what is so destructive about hate, it will never be satisfied, even if you finally get who causes it, you're left with nothing but emptiness and meaninglessness, a shell.... A nobody ...
This is what marvel comics have forgotten about Spider-Man. He’s not a lighting rod of misery, he takes what has happened to him and makes the best of it. And that’s his true super power.
@@alexjustalexyt1144 “hey, comics industry! I know you’re trying to relate to all the betas who read comics, but I really don’t need to see Spider-Man getting cucked.”
The only thing I've wanted for years from Spiderman. A real talk between him and Jonah and him learning his identity. They threw everything out at them selves I love it.
I REALLY wish that they'll do something like this in the upcoming Spider-Man 2 game by Insomniac. I really wish Jameson has a bigger role in that game and he has more moments with Spider-Man. I hope they do a similar thing like this comic. Either this game or in the next game. I really hope it does happen! 😇
This is why Jameson treats Spiderman a lot better in comics the last 6 years. Spiderman is no longer a masked vigilante doing it for kicks but someone Jameson knows to be a good man. They still have kind of a rocky personal relationship but they do view each other as family.
After this event, JJJ had become one of Spider-Man's best amazing friends. Sure he sometimes bumbles and screws things up by mistake like he accidentally revealed Past Peter's Identity to Green Goblin when trying to tell his past self to go easy on Peter, but he truly is one of Spider-Man's best allies in the 616 comics
really? i haven't bought an issue in years since stores no longer carry them and i'm not talking about comic book stores but actual stores. i had no idea he ever even revealed himself to Jonah to be honest.
Of course poor Jonah, having no object permanence, saw Peter under the mask and immediately flew into a rage. "Parker! What are you doing in that silly getup?! Spiderman just pulled a disappearing act and you're standing here wasting precious time; go get me pictures of SPIDERMAN"
I read the next issue. It was hilarious! Jonah does a complete 180 on Spider-Man. Gets on the radio and starts furiously defending Spider-Man accusing people of making Spidey's life more difficult. And the people are like "Stop accusing us of things that YOU did!!"
I like that JJ mentions that he thought he was jealous of Spider-Man, because that was his original motivation. JJ was jealous of the fact that Spider-Man used his powers only for good while Jameson himself would never use whatever power he had for anything other than personal gain. Jameson wants to tear Spider-Man down because by undermining the nobility of Spider-Man, by finding *some*thing that proves Spider-Man isn't as noble as he appears, it would make Jameson himself feel better.
Can't even lie, when Peter told him he's family and pulled his mask off I absolutely teared like a baby, despite Jonah's plots to destroy Spiderman, Peter wanted to trust him regardless because he his family in his eyes
And Jonah, on numerous occasions, has been very protective of Peter himself. Which kinda makes this parallel hit harder for me. He's loyal to Peter Parker and detests Spiderman. Similar to the Doc Oct relationship.
And the weight of "telling someone close" again, puts him in risk. There's no denying. tidal wave of emotions because Jonah was just blind-angry. Amazing writing.
yea its called a ploy to get your money. They can have this scene 100 times and if its the last time, everyone loves it. But it never lasts, lets get ready for a new reboot and then we will have to go through this same comic 30 more times before we pass on
Damn, this made me cry. Spiderman and JJ Jameson have been doing this dance for way too long. This is my first time reading/ listening to this. I love how Spiderman and JJJ were able to share what's been bothering them this whole time. I'm glad Parker was able to trust someone else with his identity.
I think the mask argument only really applies when you CHANGE or DISCARD masks. Peter uses the same mask over his career, maintaining the same identity, and thus never shedding the consequences of his actions even if they are only truly felt in his 'hero' persona most of the time. I also think that if Peter was truly a loner and without his friends, family and loved ones, he wouldn't hide his face, but would also probably trend neutral rather than heroic. There's also the fact that in the greater universe there are other heroes, so it kind of feels off that Jonah singles Spidey out for 'property damage' and the like, but that might just be an artifact of comics not focusing that heavily on any franchise other than their own, or one they are 'crossing over' with.
I get what you're saying about the mask, but it does still protect him from consequences to some extent. There's no way to press charges against "Spider-man". He has no known legal name, no address, no citizenship. If he really wanted to he could completely disappear and continue living life like normal as Peter Parker. Most people don't have that luxury. Of course, we know that if he every really messed up and did something like kill someone, Peter would turn himself in, but JJ doesn't know that.
@@jayb8934 Also worth noting that there are some people that know Spider-man's identity, they are few and far between, but they are out there, even if basically none of them will reveal it willingly. Unless of course it was absolutely necessary.
@@jayb8934Good points. Heroes in comics have always been iffy. And the fantasy of it, is that they often have such strength of character that they will hold themselves to very high standards regardless of the lack of oversight. Heroes celebrate personal agency and character. Because we wish that our actions to mean something in real life.
@@CandleWisp That’s just it. Most traditional superhero comics like Spider-man are based on the premise of people with impeccable and often unrealistic moral standards having superpowers. If someone doesn’t know that they’re in a comic book or know Peter the way we readers do, some of JJ’s concerns aren’t unreasonable. Some series like “The Boys” and even “Watchmen” give a more realistic (though cynical) portrayal of what superheroes might actually be like. Having super powers doesn’t automatically make someone a morally perfect hero, or an insane villain. Realistically, most people would be somewhere in between, which could still be pretty dangerous without any kind of oversight or accountability.
One of my favorite fan theories for JJ's treatment of Spider-Man is that he knew it was Peter all along, and that by publicly berating and challenging him constantly pushes Peter to want to prove him wrong and do more good. That one of the motivations Peter has to be Spider-Man is to show Jonah that he is a hero that has improved the city instead of a menace just making more trouble and chaos, and if Jonah ever admitted that he was a hero, then Spider-Man would be losing one of his biggest motivations. It's easily disproven by the many times JJ has actively attempted to kill/arrest Spider-Man, but it could also be seen as a twisted, messed-up attempt to keep Spider-Man on the offensive against evil.
In the ultimates universe when magento reverses the pole and cause new york to flood 30+ stories worth of water JJ Is stuck in the building the windows some how are holding and he's in shock. Shock at the sheer mass of people in the water and of one man in Red and webbing Diving again and again and again. Ultimates universe has JJ change from that he starts writing to make up for all the evil he sent spider man's way over the years to tell the world of all the heroes who help save them.
What you don’t take into consideration is the fact that what JJ does might eventually break spiderman. If he becomes so sick of his criticism he says I give up. No one can take being insulted and hunted forever
Sometimes comics deliver some really goofy moments you don't see in other media but sometimes they deliver really touching ones you don't see elsewhere, like this one.
smh. awful written by ppl who have never been through true loss or struggle and you get this trash. Even your good VA couldt save it. and it shows a complete non understanding of who spidey is or why he does what he does. He has no choice! Its a compulsion if he ever could have put away the mask it ended with the gwen stacys death, who they NEVER even mention smh. Spiderman will die at age like 70 still trying to save ppl cuz hit is the ONLY way he can live with his guilt. get it now!? now give me a fukin spidey book i might be able to salvage it
I loved this. Spiderman being my favorite fictional hero of all time. Him revealing himself to JJ is beautiful and to finally hear the real reason why he hates Spiderman...and it was a bit comedic lol. Thank you for this video ❤
Your format of telling the story through the voice of the characters is what makes them come to life and is so entertaining. I hope this channel gets the recognition that it deserves. Great work !!
It surely will. IMO, he's WAY better than those others, especially that one famous channel that reads through stories so fast, one forgets what happened 20 pages ago and can't keep up.
I really want to see this specific panel get recreated in something. A Movie, the games i dont care. It deserves to be shown off in more media as the culmination of Jonah Peters and Spider-man's dynamic. Genuinely love this part of the story so much. Its so great.
The look of jonah after realising how much trust Peter has for him to show him his face, even after EVERYTHING. Showed jonah that someone put there does care for him, always, even after he lost everything, the one he thought as a menace was the one ally he will never lose, nothing will break the bond these two have formed after this,
I never saw Jonah as a villain, just a misguided individual blaming all his problems on a guy who had nothing to do with his misery, and yes, he did hire supervillains, but it was not because he was evil but rather, a misguided quest for revenge. He just wants accountability. Not subjugation
One thing I love is.how Jonah ends up being an ally, friend, and even a savior for Peter. In the newer comics, Jonah saves Peter from a villain using high frequency sound waves.
@@giovannievans9379 Jonah is a tragic character, he felt like nobody cared about his misery, and never understood why so many were praising the very guy he blamed. Imagine not getting the full truth about horrible things that happen to you, you're left without answers and the only link to them is a guy who you believe was the catalyst for all your pain. You want revenge, and it doesn't help when everyone else treats him like a hero, further fueling your anger and malice. At the end of the day, Jonah was a victim, a victim of circumstance, a victim of his own anger, Peter knew this, and did what could do to coax Jonah out of his delusions. This strip made me want to give Jonah a hug, at the end of the day, he's just a hurt soul seeking to extinguish what is causing him pain, he has no malice or evil, just depression and agony.
I really appreciate when characters can just sometimes have these heart to heart conversations with each other instead of them always resorting to and relying on a fight/fights to retain the readers attention.
who knew jj went through so much, and here we were thinking he was just some obsessed lunatic. Messed up? yes. Mentally? yes. Is that his fault? No. I feel so bad for him, he just hates the fact that no one could save his wife at the time and will always resent himself. I take back everything i said about him, JJ is just a poor old man who didnt deserve this. But of course hes still an icon
He was a man who had his troubles throughout his life but also in the comics made it commonplace to help peter in very big but subtle ways. I believe it was revealed that aunt may had asked him to give peter the job and JJ pretty much from that point on decided that regardless of how mad he'd get he'd do his best to ensure that peter working there would kickstart his life to be as successful as he possibly could give peter. He does care about people greatly and just kinda has issues. Pretty much a normal guy
It is his fault to some degree. All sins are committed with some kind of excuse, and most madness is created by our choices one step at a time. Much of it isn't our fault, and hopefully all of it is forgivable, and we can't usually see where the line between guilt and innocence is, but it's there
This issue is great bc of all the build up. It was Jonah who took Peter in as a photographer even though his associates told Jonah not to. He says to them, “the boy needs help.” Without Jonah giving the opportunity, Peter wouldn’t being humble and give help to those who need it. Even though Jonah doesn’t have great intentions, he knows when he mess up and makes it right.
Even in the movies. Green Goblin has Jameson by the throat over the city. Demanding to know the photographer who brings the pictures of Spider-Man. Now despite Peter being in the same room as them Jameson lies to Goblin saying that the photographer brings the photos over by the mail The man had imminent death staring him down yet he protects Peter to what he thought was his end
Jameson has always had better intentions towards Peter (a begrudged fondness), than towards Spider-Man (jealousy fueled resentment laced w/ paranoia). That,s part if what makes this step in their evolution so interesting.
@@Ninja_Koopa it's peter parker: the spectacular spider-man issue 1. Tho I reccomend of the reading list plus reading the entire arc of this. The entire arc reveals officially in cannon that he has a younger sister, and the fbi or whatever equal to is chasing her because files she has on other heroes. Similiar to the to tower of babel issue from dc and it continues why Peter had to reveal his identity to Jonah. Then Jonah realizes the weight of Peter being spider-man when they went to an alternative universe where they were all young.
One of the really interesting things about this particular bit is how it compares to JJ's reaction to Peter being unmasked in Civil War. Back then, he felt ridiculed, like Peter was mocking him behind his back all the time. Here, instead of unmasking in public, with JJ only finding out second hand, he unmasks in front of him, as a show of trust. And outside letting it slip after days of torture, he has kept this secret and been an otherwise valuable ally to Peter.
Jameson can either love or hate Spider-Man, but he'll always love Peter. Even in that dark alternate universe with Peter's symbiote world where he actually killed his villains; Jonah wanted to help him when he found out it was Peter.
@@Greenhawk4 but, who are they in eyes of Law to do that? It's like: Batman goes and kill Joker (absolutely deserved tho, Joker is supposed to be dead), then every other supervillians in the city, then he goes to kill thieves, then cops, who's trying to stop him from causing a blodshed, then he beyond point of going back
@@Greenhawk4 While I agree that the whole "no kill" thing comes off a bit too forceful (and tedious) at times, I think it depends on the story, context and characters. Just having heroes kill will get just as boring as heroes who don't. The problem with the "No kill" or the "Kill" code is that a lot of the times the characters don't get to learn from mistakes, mess up and develop. as characters. Even outside the superhero genre this gets stupid too. Marvel and DC are mainly happy with keeping heroes to a "no kill" code so they can keep making more. And when someone does die, there's always a way to bring them back to life.
@@user-if8sw6vp6m Bit of a long comment. Well the biggest point of Batman is the law in Gotham is the problem as it's manipulated and corrupted, but anyway digressing. The problem with the "No kill" heroes (not just specific to superheroes) are they on extreme with a Jesus-Saviour complex where on occasions they've endangered more lives by not killing the villain. My point isn't with the law, but with protecting lives, there's a difference as you cannot always save lives by following rules. We do this in our own lives with something, we live to some form of personal values and rules, but occasionally break out of necessity for something. You've obviously exaggerated the outcome here, some heroes will only kill criminals but be non-lethal with police, etc. It's fiction, we don't always need the hero to spiral down into chaos from one kill. And as most people are familiar with films/games than comics, I think Man of Steel (spoilers ahead) was the first film that comes to mind, but what I liked was it took Superman with the "no kill" but in the end he realised there was no other way of stopping Zod so he had to make that choice. This is the approach I like more, it challenges not just the villain but the hero's struggle to make an undesirable choice/outcome. Same in Batman Begins, Spider-Man (Tobey Maguire ver).
@@mnArqal93 welp, about exaggeration part, it may happen with beings like Superman, while if Batman kills, he ALWAYS looses what left of his sanity, cus he IS insane, just Batman's codex is what not letting him to drive in insanity even deeper, although i will agree with you about SOME villians shoud be dead, but what will define who shoud and who shoudn't? As my opinion its is whether Villian kills innocent people or not, if he do so, he shoud be executed, otherwise he shoudn't
Well narrated and well written story 🥲 this was so sad and heart warming to see. After all the years that they have been at each other’s throats, this was a breathe of fresh air.
They've had friction several times, but he's still on Spiderman's side as a staunch ally and this immediately made him very zealous about spreading the word that Spidey was a hero.
This is a good comic. I think JJJ is supposed to be well meaning, but some comic writers write him as a complete villain and miss the point. I like how this comic gets him, but acknowledges the times he is written as someone who wants to kill Spider-Man
Spiderman and the flash are 2 of the best characters, always having fun, gets serious when it needs to be, has emotional and caring parts with friends or even villains and the whole town loves them, They might not be the strongest but they are loved by many people because of those reasons
It would be so cool to see Mr. Jameson on Spidey's side for once. Making up elaborate stories to take the heat off of Peter, giving Spider-Man a proper image as a hero. Maybe he'd be tech-savvy enough to help build new gadgets for Spider-Man to use in his crime-fighting efforts
In the comics JJJ later actually does take Peter's side. There is one fight in this story where Peter fights Morlun and Jameson actually calls the police force to aid Spider-Man instead of arresting him. But of course, the police isn't very useful against ancient, multi-verse traveling, super speed, super strength energy vampires, so he had to ask Jameson to tell them to back off. Although, Spidey does manage to trap Morlun where the police tranquilized the shit out of him, and Peter later thanked Jameson for all the help. (Peter Parker: The Spectacular Spider-Man issue 313 (2017))
Spiderman and Batman are really the only heroes whose stories I love experiencing, even if it's just world building, and character development. They're so much more than how hard they can punch.
Well, maybe Spiderman. At least he tries to keep decency in his relationships with all his peers, unlike Batman, who has zero problems with coming up with ways to betray his friends on a personal level, and would go so far to stick with his stoic, toxic, and projective demeanor. Both heroes have lost everything close to them on multiple occasions, yet Spiderman has not a single problem with taking responsibility and accountability for the lives he may have destroyed involuntarily; Bats straight up eats popcorn watching his friends and loved ones get murdered by the the same individuals he swore to put away, and then comes up with some bullshit excuses about his flawed views of justice. It's not even that damn deep, it's just another example of how rich he gets off the world's misery, or in the very least (the only city in DC they KEEP coming back to) Gotham.
@@ravinraven6913 All stories are basically the same 5 stories told since ancient times, just with different characters and different settings. Humanity hasn't changed much since then, and all stories are basically a projection of the human condition.

@@Shendue I have only read Spider-Man comics in libraries since Brand New Day. Let libraries waste money on buying it. As for Zeb Wells and Paul and MJ . . . why? Who in Stan Lee's name approved that? Earth-616 needs a reset, starting with firing nearly every writer, artist and editor at Marvel.
Are the avengers a government regulated institution tho? And Spiderman isn't part of shield. He just helps them out every once in a while. That's what James is angry about. He is someone who does what he wants. He doesn't have to answer to anybody when people die, or when things get destroyed. This is actually a pretty common gripe in-universe people usually have with vigilantes in general. "Today what you're doing is good. But who is going to tell you no, when what you're becomes bad?"
@@CommentPositionInformer And where was 'government' said in regards to 'institution'? A government is AN institution. Not THE institution. I'm also not sure why you went deeper into my "helps SHIELD". "Helps" does not mean "is part of".
@@Riger82 Considering he immediately said Army and Police afterwards, it leaves little room to imagination. Yes. As it turns out, 'helping' an institution occasionally doesn't make you obligated to follow it's rules. Therefore it's still the same as not having responsibility.
plus JJ wasn't opening his mind much as often institution / society is the problem.. like people who say "get better by helping your society" - if your society is rotten then helping it just makes you part of the problem, sometimes to change things for the better you have to go against the norms.. I think deep down JJ knows this but he's too scared to admit it, even to himself, because of his past.. he wishes he had fought back against the "coward in a mask" but his wife asked him not to, this caught him in an unfair loop where he felt bound to his promise to her, especially after her death.. unaware that there's a difference between letting go of hate (so he doesn't become the new Punisher) and doing the right thing even if society may not be on your side on said matters.
@@CommentPositionInformer notice how most of the avenger heroes also don't wear disguises? Iron,an does, but itspublically known he's stark. Captain America's identity is advertised openly. Out of all the heroes in Marvel, Spiderman does fall into the exceptions, keeping his identity hidden to most. The other avengers all openly take criticisms as themselves while Spidey does so only as Spidey.
As a kid I allways thought of JJJ as a crazy man. "Why would anyone be against the obvious hero?!" But as a adult now I understand the fear of having some unaccountable person with powers (whatever kind of) doing as they seemingly please. Because power allways corrupts and even spidy had to fight the corruption in his soul.
The thing is though, Power never corrupts. It just gives the people who have always been evil bastards the ability to do evil things and get away with them.
@@keithsinter5611 Being good is easy. Being selfish or malicious is shortsighted and backfires. Not only because nobody trusts you and nobody wants to help you, but because the people you screw over and the people who fear you will seek to bring you down. "Whether it be better to be loved than feared or feared than loved? It may be answered that one should wish to be both, but, because it is difficult to unite them in one person, it is much safer to be feared than loved, when, of the two, either must be dispensed with. [...] Nevertheless a prince ought to inspire fear in such a way that, if he does not win love, he avoids hatred; because he can endure very well being feared whilst he is not hated." - Machiavelli Evil people who seek power specifically because it lets them get away with things while good people rarely seek power because the only reason they'd want power is to help other people. Evil people who manage to get power also tend to be good at faking not being evil so that others will give them power. Once they have it, they have no obligation to be good anymore and thus any reason to restrain themselves. This is why the quote "Power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely" is completely B.S. It's thought that power is what corrupted someone who was good, but the reality is they always were evil, they were just good at putting up a front. Once they had no cause to keep up that front they dropped it and showed the world who they really were.
@@bfuryyit definitely is A.I. though. The voices are okay and I’m genuinely impressed on how it can sound so human at some bits but you can definitely tell a person isn’t voicing this. And if it wasn’t then the “voice actors” would be credited in the description
This one video got more emotion out of me than the entirety of phase 4 and 5. This is the best comic channel on RU-vid by far. Idk how you do it, man…😢❤️🔥
What i love about this is how JJ presents some valid arguements too. He's not just the obsessed cretin but has some valid comments on the matter. Like everyone needs to be accpuntable for their actions and although Peter is right, that the mask is protecting others too, JJ has a point that if something goes wrong no one knows who Spider Man really is and no one knows who messed up and that is to say that if Spider Man decided to change his life and be a villain instead of a protector no one would be able to seek him out to stop him. I do love it how both sides have valid points. Because Peter of course is right too that all those threats created out of JJ's hatred did more harm than good. I also love it how both sides use both logic and emotion to bring out their points and how essentially that was the core of their reason; both their mindsets and their emotional teaumas. Of course i loved it how it escalated emotionally to the point of both hurting each other and then both trusting each other at that point leaving it hanging for a while and how they are indeed family. Basically Peter shows him that he is not with nothing. That he has still some family left and i think that cut deeper than just revealing that Peter Parker is Spider Man. Gosh i miss this type of Spider Man stories! No avengers no world battles no sidekicks... just Peter Parker a man with genuine steuggles like every person on this planet with an extra burden of powers trying to earn his place in his own city.... Amazing video! 👏
Yeah, JJ has always had valid points, but he takes them to an irrational extreme and ignores overwhelming evidence that Spider-man does far more good than harm.
That was and is the strength of Spiderman. He is no avenger, he is a person most could relate to. He struggle with his finance and his love life. He is intelligent but not in a Tony Stark kind of way. He is down to earth and always comes home to his shitty apartment in NY after a battle with a strong enemy.
@@Jthanson88 Spider-man is a masked vigilante who operates outside the law and doesn’t follow the same rules or have the same accountability as a police officer. He has made mistakes that have caused damage and harm. He doesn’t actually have the legal authority to do what he does. Nor does he have actual training to intervene in dangerous situations. He could, in theory, unintentionally interfere with the work of actual professionals even if he’s trying to help. These are all valid points. But as I said, Jonah exaggerates these points and ignores the abundant evidence that Spider-man uses his powers responsibly and saves a lot of lives.
When you really think about it JJ is Spiderman's joker. His life obsession is Spiderman, his whole purpose is Spiderman and making him miserable just like joker does with batman. JJ is just a more sane version with all the same obsessions
@@Mate_Antal_Zoltan That was a VERY extreme case, dozens of witnesses, video, and we'd just come off of nationwide protests. They were genuinely afraid of what would happen if they let him off this time. It is truly bizarre how someone can point and say "See? It happened once!" And act like that settles things.
JJ is a character I hated as a kid but started to understand as I got older. It makes sense to be afraid of some one with so much power and want them to be held accountable if a time comes. With that said when he started trying to killing Spider-Man, thats a bit to far.
The comics need moments like this because at a certain point Jonah's entire vendetta against Spiderman becomes unreasonable. Cops don't wear mask but they also aren't one man armies that are the target of literal super humans and organized crime organizations.
I love how in Ultimate JJJ regrets treating Peter like trash all those years and learns from his mistakes and treats Miles with respect when he starts being Spiderman
I'll be honest, dude did a wonderful job nailing the emotion of the scene. I was about to be critical on not imitating their voices well, but then he went along and absolutely excelled in pulling me in. Awesome content 👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾 +1 like, +1 sub
Yeah it’s A.I. lol, it does sound pretty good though but it’s clear to me that it’s A.I. since it just sounds robotic at some points and by then I was suspecting that there weren’t any actual voice actors in this video.
maybe if this was your first time seeing this conversation. But for those who have seen it as much as I have, its not really new, and you're tired of seeing it. Are they really that uninspired or out of creativity that they just go back to the same stories? We will never get a good comic from Marvel Again, imo. DC has lost it many years ago. Dark Horse is good because it has things like Fear Agent. A non established comic that trys something new without jumping back into old stories. But no, lets just redraw the same commic and have the same conversation and then act surprise when it fails again
I've always like the stark contrast in relationship between Spider-Man and JJ vs Batman and Gordan. Throughout the years, either ever knew the other's identity, but Gordan accepted and worked with Batman in order to solve cases that were beyond his abilities. Meanwhile, JJ uses his journalism to constantly slander Spider-Man, all because of a misplaced hate from long ago even though doing so would never change anything
The end was the best. Just blasted him with the backstory he’d been after for years and then left him feeling like a teen meeting his idol. Effin hilarious
Jonah's British accent is so juxtapose to every iteration we've ever had of him. It was lowkey hilarious and changed the dynamic of how I usually view Jonah. Kudos!
