@@briloncitoroberts947 you have to remember the context of the stories of the two games. batman stops the cars in a city where there are no civilians because it was evacuated or they are hiding. Spiderman stops cars where there are civilians. the goal of both is to stop the threat and save lives.

The thing is, during Arkham Knight there are no civilians, the city was evacuated at the beginning of the story, the only ones left are criminals so Batman can go all out if he wants to.

There are no civilians in Gotham, they are all criminals. Spider-Man lives in a fictionalized version of New York, sure there are criminals there too, but its not the same.

Spiderman takes longer

Batman is typically portrait as having extensive martial arts training and experience, to the point where he's said to have mastered most martial arts (or at least all the the major ones and probably a few obscure/secret ones) and thus ends up with a fighting style that mixes and matches various different techniques, adjusting his moves to fit his current situation. This may vary from one author to another, but I think that is the lore that Rocksteady went with for the Arkham games. Spider-Man on the other hand is supposed to be a more relatable "normal guy turned superhero" sort of character, so his fighting style consists of self-taught melee moves - where he lets his super strength, dexterity and ability to improvise do the heavy lifting, rather than relying on formal training - and ties in his webshooting ability to control and arrest his opponents, especially when confronted with large groups. This gives him a unique fighting style that can't really be imitated unless you are another Spider-Man, like Miles Morales. Also worth noting: Batman's very straightforward approach to combat typically results in him almost always going for KOs, while Spider-Man's webshooting ability and restrained use of force often leaves his opponents webbed up but conscious.

Basic summary: Spiderman: Acrobatic, strong but with resistance, sassy. Batman: Precise, disciplined, quiet.

To be fair the only people that stayed in the city are people who enjoy chaos and first responders, it's safe to assume they most likely weren't up to any good.

If you played the game you'd know that some of the goons in cars in Batman randomly fire rounds at the air, and others try to chase down police cars (or the other way around) so no, they are indeed causing trouble one way or another
