Tobey Maguire's Spiderman vs Andrew Garfield's Spiderman? How strong are they? Who would beat who? Find out NOW!!! Sources of info : www.experienceproject.com/stor... www.quora.com/How-much-does-a... pedestrianobservations.wordpr...
May I add for endurance? In Spider-Man 2, everyone remembers the scene where Tobey stopped a train using only himself as a counter, albeit with some buildings to hold him in place. But in the extended cut, Tobey also manages to get hit by another speeding train, before shrugging it off like it was nothing.
And as for their speed...Tobey Maguire's Spider-Man could look at thing well before they came like when Flash was about to punch him he saw that fly's wings moving so slowly like when Quicksilver's speed in X-Men Apocalypse makes that bee's wings move slowly.....Moreover Andrew Garfield's Spider-Man senses faster than the speed of Electricity not 'Light', electricity is only 1/100th the speed of light but hey, we've got to give something to The Amazing Spider-Man
The reason Tobey Peter gets surprised by venom is because, venom in the comics he doesn't set off Peter's spider sense, because he previously bonded with Peter and gained spider sense, and venoms spider sense cancels out Peter's spider sense. Other wise great video, love your channel Gubz.
Venom doesn't actually have Spider-Sense, it just has 360 degree senses. The reason Spidey can't detect it is that it copied his DNA, the same reason why Ben Riley and Kaine don't set off his Spider-Sense.
ReezyBeBreezy so was everyone else. A lot of the people who say they hate them were kids who actually loved it. The reason they say they don’t like it is cause other people say it and they want to seem popular or something
@@lit23oasis14 i mean yeah but we don’t know if Tom Holland’s and Andrew garfields does the same. We only see it here since Tobey went into a very stressful situation.
Tobey did not build web shooters. as he already can shoot webs from his hand. In Spider-Man 2. he lost his powers because the thing he has inside his hand are limited. And so. Thats why the other characters built web shooters and Tobey Maguire didnt. hope this explains everything
@@bran2kya Actuslly Peter did build webshooters but he didn’t make web fluid so he’d still be smart to be able to figure out the technology for that to work. Peter’s natural webshooters aren’t going to shoot through a suit. So you can see in the rooftop scene after his fight with Green Goblin that Peter did make webshooters for the webs to go through. So that’d put him pretty up there in the intelligence category plus just his overall intelligence shown in Spider-Man 2. Also his webs are unlimited if Peter isn’t having a mental block like he did in Spider-Man 2 or in the comics. Because Peter was so stressed and depressed and didn’t want to be Spider-Man, his powers become dormant and it’s only until he truly needs them and realizes he has to be Spider-Man is when his powers return. Also on a side note, If Tobey were to break Tom Holland’s webshooters that’s like 70% of his upper hand gone as that’s a majority of his tech. Add Maguire’s experience, better fighting skill, durability, and superior strength (stopping a 250 to. train in less than 40 seconds going 80 mph takes more strength than Tom Holland holding a boat together for 5 second. Plus the weight would be squared since it’s moving much faster than the boat.), Tobey would win. But that’s just a random thought I had.
Tobey saved his gf in all 3 movies. Andrew never saved her. In the first amazing spiderman movie he couldn't save Gwen's dad. In the second movie he couldn't save Gwen.
Bruh it’s not fair to say that Toby’s Spider-Mans spider sense was slow against venom. Venom literally paired with Peter first so when he was bonded with Eddie he knew how to get past peters spider sense
@@thelonleyghast8975 The Venom Symbiote has immunity to Peter's Spider-Sense, Spider-Man said it himself in the comics. Other Symbiotes like Toxin, Anti-Venom, and the children of Venom all have immunity since they are Venom's descendants therefore they share the same abilities, other Symbiotes like Toxin and Anti-Venom also have immunity since AV is an improved version of Venom and Spider-Man has even admitted that AV is immune to his Spider-Sense, and since Toxin is the child of Carnage, he also shares the same abilities, and instead has his own unique Spider-Sense
Idk I feel like we can definitely review that agility section a little deeper. Garfield literally dodged bullets that were shot at him from few feet away.
@@pieceoffuk1365 true but Garfield did do so from a closer range and was able to dodge electros lightning strikes, something way faster than a speeding bullet. And I don’t think the critism of Andrew’s agility is entirely fair when not only is he comparing them at 2 very different time periods of their stories but on top of that, fails to address how Andrew improved on these issues in TASM 2.
A powered rifle that shoots stun darts. Go check it. And the beating part didn't even quite start until the grenade blew up in his face, so nah that's no excuse.
Came back here after No Way Home that brief fight between Maguire's Spider Man and Garfield's Spider Man Maguire Spider Man showed he would definitely win since he used his intelligence to take out Garfield Spider Man's Web Shooters and Garfield reaction to his web shooters being webbed by Maguire is something that caught him off guard
@@cola8481 A.) Completely disregarding the many many many examples of Tobey defeating robbers, criminals, bandits, etc in the first film. And the time in the first film he literally attacked 4 armed criminals at once and won without a hit. B.) That was a surprise attack on Andrew's part seeing that they all were not expecting that. C.) He was literally being held at gun-point during the end by Captain Stacey and he couldn't attack. There.
Andrew tried very hard to bring us a great feeling of love, strong spiderman. Andrew is really good at acting, not because of a poor scenario that is not invested like Sony's but underestimates Andrew's Spider-Man. I personally think TASM is the best
Which Spidey is more intelligence is still debatable while Andrew Spidey displayed his intelligence more Toby Spidey was able to see the error of of Otto's work a scientist that has spent his life dedicated to his fusion reactor while Andrew couldnt even think of a way to make his web shooters non conductive without assistance.
Super MnO at least he made webshooters. If Tobey's went up against Electro he would've died. He also would've just used his fists, which against the Lizard wouldn't have worked for long enough for assistance to arrive.
Michael Mordecai I dont think he would of died not to mention Andrew Spidey did physically hit Electro at some points. Not to mention he was only able to beat him with Gwen's help.
Super MnO oh, I agree, he needed help, but we didn't see enough of Tobey's agility (Doc Ock aside), so in my book he would have died before Gwen would have got there. Or rather, if Mary Jane ran away screaming. :-)
Yeah but The Amazing spuderman have more sense because he just use his brain to create a web shooter...For Tobey Maguire if a spider bitten you you will not have a web..That means TASM can be true
Supa Saiyan-jin He was not supporting a section of the wall, and he was assisted by the fusion reactor (or whatever the hell it was) pulling the wall and other surrounding objects towards it.
@@djrocksgaming6255 well it was not actually supporting him because when that part of the building was falling and being sucked into the sun(doctor Octavius tried creating the power of the sun and to also use for mandkind) so then he was struggling to hold it up to save mary jane from her death.
@@djrocksgaming6255 I agree with Supa Saiyan-jin the structure was being pulled tours Mary Jane since the reactor was behind her. since that Structure is already heavy imagen the power of the sun magnetic pull giving an extreme extra power pull on it. Toby really went above and beyond to save her, cant say that about Garfield tho... XD
Juan Quiroz Due to the inverse-square law, the force pulling on the upper portion of the warehouse wall was much greater than the portion that was exerting a force against Peter's body, thus reducing the load that Peter had to counteract, as its essentially being pulled over him-not against him. There's some torque in play that would make it easier to support the weight of it since the wall was slanted, with only a small portion of it being below Peter's head. All he had to do was be strong enough to generate enough torque to get the small amount of it off of the ground for it to go flying off of him.
Mrneverhit Youok no Garfield would win because all of Toby villains relied on being spaced in a fight while Garfield had many up close fights this shows that he would last longer in the fight cause Toby to simply give out
@@Username-wj8pz Well, with some basic googling on the speed on electricity which is far faster than lightning. And what we see in the movie, it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out that one, the electricity is certainly not moving at the speed of light. And that two, Spider-man would not be able to dodge electricity moving at the speed of light like is shown in the movie you have allegedly watched. Thus it can be concluded rather safely that Electro is not able to conduct electricity at speeds that the Blob would be unable to dodge.
Toby could've won endurance regardless considering in the bank scene in Spider-Man 2 Doc Ock is trying to crush his head with the metal arms and he managed to hold up under X amount of pressure to the skull from metal claws lmao
But in that same scene, he gets dashed to the floor and gets up slowly, as if injured. Comparitavely, when the same thing happens several times in TASM to Andrew Garfield, he's back up on his feet in no time, generally.
I think you should have added the Spider-Man 3 scene for endurance when Maguire was pulled against the steel beam by venom while being pounded by Sandman over and over.
You didn’t mention that in the second Spider-Man homeboy literally called for the destruction of doc octopus fusion. Reactor and that he was the top of his class at the university he was attending
He haves very good cuality videos but it's all about the audience and if that audience isn't that big it doest mean that he's content is bad but that there isn't enough people interested in who would win in a fight between the interpretations of 2 different movie studios of one character
Actually, if you watch game theorists version of this video, he calculated the speed of the lighting from electro, and it was hella slow to the point were a regular person could dodge it.
@Arjun the Gamer but in a seprate scene, electro electrocuted the handle for the new york stairs that leads to nowhere, in REAL TIME. Matpat calculated the speed, and it was shockingly slow. (No pun intended)
Now in 2022 this video doesn't matter anymore. No way came out and we got to see ALL 3 spidermen complementing each other . Plus no way home confirming Tobey as the strongest Spidey was just icing on the cake
Plus that doesn't mean Spider-Man moved at that speed, but reacted and started to move before it launched at him. (Cuz that's why spider sense is important)
Angelo James Mordini He didn't react to it, as cody pointed out the spidersense took over. He just moved. There was nothing that would allow spiderman to see or hear it, the spidersense just warned spiderman
Tobey Maguire definitely wins the spider sense round as well. In Spiderman 2 he detected the end of the train track from miles away, acted quickly enough to detect and dodge himself and Mary Jane from a cop car thrown by Doc Ock whilst sitting in a cafe and a similar feat when he pushed Aunt May and himself out of the way of a car thrown by Doc Ock in a bank. Plus look at how quickly he was able to dodge all of Flash's punches in Spiderman 1.
I prefer magurie much more but Andrew would win In TASM he dodged those bullets from the policeman or “cop” if you’re American and I’m pretty sure flash’s punches weren’t as fast as bullets
Black Manta That's actually not as impressive as most people did. The calculations are extremely easy to do (baring friction, which would reduce the amount of force needed), and stopping the train only took around 18.3 tons of force. That's not much at all for comic or MCU Spider-Man, but Tobey passed out from it.
what about Tobey taking Sandman's punches defenseless on Spiderman 3 for endurance? (well yeah we all know that's not that great of a movie, but just for the reference)
I have to disagree, I sincerely think Tobey's Peter is smarter. Andrew's Peter barely figured things out on his own, it was either Gwen or a convenient video online doing most of the thinking for him.
he literally invented his own spinnerets for the silk fluid. do you know how small and complex they are? that's an incredible scientific feat. what did macguire do? answer a question correctly in class?
I still disagree. If Andrew's Spider-Man was fighting Venom he'd probably need someone to spell out in big capital letters "SONIC HURTS THE SYMBIOTE" for him to get a clue. Of course, then he'd need to go on RU-vid to figure out what sonic are and then he'd go around trying to spin dash Venom 'cuz he clicked on the wrong video.
goblin pinned him down cause peter took a freaking 8000 volt to the chest and survived, then green gopblin came, peter was about 40% during the fight, but he was full energy when he held the car
Well in the amazing spiderman peter held a falling van with one hand, but seemed to be struggling a bit, showing he isn't able to do THAT much more than holding a car On the other hand Toby's Peter held a car full of children with one hand and didn't seem to struggle a single bit
@@bigfish5544 there's also a point that he just dosent know which is how the spider powers actually develop the longer you have them, your strength speed agility all that stuff gets better the longer you've been bitten, so comparing the first film with the second film is kinda nonsensical considering peters powers only improve from that point on
Garfield: You’re a FRAUD Spider-Man! Tobey: I’m gonna put some dirt in your eye Tobey: (Throws one punch and Garfield is slammed against the wall) Garfield: (Charges at Tobey) Tobey: Now dig on this, Tobey: (Effortlessly webs Garfield to wall) Garfield: (Struggling) Tobey: oh, look at little spidey jr, gonna cry? (Begins walking away) Garfield: *Screams* We’ll meet again, Spider-Ma- Tobey: (Shoots a web at Garfield’s mouth to shut him up) Tobey: See ya chump Garfield: (Breaks Webbing on mouth) Tobey: (Looks back) Tobey: *Light Chuckle* Tobey: Pizza time Garfield: NOOOOOOooooo- Garfield: (Disintegrates) Tobey: I’m Spider-Man
@@mightguy3118 he fell from high altitudes over & over again while his powers were half gone & still survived without a scratch (well, maybe a backache)
@@Weezytecktonik yea. But at the same time I don’t think they were completely gone at that moment. His speed, strength, webs and spider sense sure but probably not his endurance lol
@@Weezytecktonik his powers fluctuate, they aren't eliminated completely. No fuckin way a powerless man can fall from a building and live without going splat
Tobey Spidey was able to understand in great nuance the complexities of Otto's work in fusion and his miscalculations beforehand whereas Andrew's version couldn't understand how magnets worked and needed a reminder from middle school - But webshooters? Tobey's version never even needed webshooters. So that's a moot point.
pete was able to understand kurt connors and his father notes in high school vs a college student. tobey also had trouble finding both venoms and sandmans weakness, so id say both are pretty equal.
+DEM-GTR I know he has to react to his senses, I love Spiderman, he's my favorite character. It's still in the same realm, Maguire reacts faster. look can we agree that Maguire Spiderman would beat him. Not saying one's better than the other. And please don't speak condescendingly, I don't like arguing.
but in the first movie he was able to dodge 3 simultaneous bullets from a couple feet away, the writers for the amazing Spider-Man movies left major plot holes
Toby has far better endurance as in one of the first movies he endured getting hit from a train managed too slow it down for a bit with his toes smashing through the ground without turning into mashed potatoes also this would give him a bit of a strength feat also if this had prep I could also argue Toby would have his symbiotic suit and Andrew would need too reload his webs while Toby’s webs come naturally.
tobey does have a weakness. tobey's webs that come organically are actually very painful and thats why in some scenes of spider-man he actually almost break both of his wrist. even when he had his super-strength.
@@kermit4036 well both are awesome to be honest. Yes he is nostalgic but he is a more experienced fighter tho. Tom is great and clearly has the better Spidey personality than Maguire and is like the comics but Maguire is a fighter tho
These days it would go like this. Andrew Spidey: "I don't want to fight him! I know him! I love this guy!" Tobey Spidey: "Uh, yeah. Me neither. We kind of...saved the multiverse, at least I hope so."
Yeah spiderman actually gets webs from mechanical shooters in the comics. Garfield still has the strength and speed and spider sense and all that except the web shooting power
D To99 your right but andrew can crawl walls too its gross to shoot webs from your wrist, and then let them rip from them and hang off of them. Plus the webs are developed in his ball sacks. Thats gross. They both have spider sense and they can crawl walls.
Also, in Spider-Man 3, Tobey’s version literally gets hit by Sandman when he’s in a huge state, literally shaking the construction sight with pound. He was also already weakened. Yeah he would’ve died if Harry hadn’t come in to save him, but still. That must’ve been at least tons of force.
It's cool to watch this video because of the facts you give us. Finally I think many things are subjective(because everything we're counting are only things that we get to see in movies) and the winner of that fight is up to the opinion of each person.
