Spider-Man: Web of Shadows CANCELLED SEQUEL!!!

I'm pretty sure they used the mysterio design from the canceled web of shadows game in shattered dimensions

As much as I want to play Spider-Man Classic if that game didn't get canceled Spider-Man Shattered Dimensions wouldn't have happened and I probably wouldn't have found out about Spider-Man 2099 who is now one of my favorite characters in comics!

Web of shadows had a very wacky story line but the combat system alone was what made me love it

The antihero ending fits Peter perfectly as it not only highlights the human side of him, but also the flaws that makes up the man. The price of heroism involves sacrifice and consequence and in a character like Spiderman we see it affects many people. While great power comes with great responsibility, a need for greater power is needed to take on a heavier burden, especially when the time and the support you can have are limited. In this case, the power is both dark and something the hero is familiar with. He knows there's a price and it's up to the players to decide what to do

Web of shadows was amazing in that it was based in a world where comic events actually are canon to the earth 616 events. Like when you fight Wolverine and he asked questions during the fight, that were actual events that occurred in the comics, to verify Spider-Man's identity

Cool fact: there was gunna be a spin off to web of shadows that let you play as venom infecting the city. It was scrapped and released as it's own IP called PROTOTYPE. It's also why the powers in that game are very venom like.

Wos is my favorite, mostly because it had a mature tone to it. Were a lot of Spider-Man games are more kid friendly stuff. Spider-Man PS4 has it's mature moments but not alot.

They were going to make venom playable as well But instead you they made the Prototype games as there replacement

Sequels are only worth it when there’s more story to indulge in unfortunately the ended of this game doesn’t feel like a cliff hangar

Would’ve wanted to, except then we never would’ve gotten shattered dimensions, in turn never giving us the spider verse, as that game inspired the spider verse comics which inspired the movies

damn... so even if we got a sequel to the best spiderman game ever made, we still wouldn't have seen what happened when Spiderman took the evil ending.... fuck, I always wanted to see that story play out. Must've beat the game at least a thousand times as a kid just to rewatch the cutscenes

Shattered dimensions was kind of a let down. Recently finished miles morales and web of shadows is still my favorite spider man of all time followed by that first 3d Spiderman from way back in the day. I forgot it's name but it starts with you chasing venom so high in the sky you can't see the ground (probably because budget was low lol)

Web of Shadows was one of my favorite Spider-Man games. It's a shame it never got a sequel, but at least we got Shattered Dimensions which is also a great game. Of course my favorite Spider-Man game is Spider-Man PS4. Can't wait for Spider-Man 2! 😁😁😁

Shattered dimensions is such a W game

Shattered dimensions is pretty cool but like, you can't even compare these two. Web of Shadows have the perfect swinging/controls,it's so fast and you can do so many different moves, free roaming the city never gets boring.
