There were multiple dialogs from which it becomes clear that Venom itself is villain, not Eddie. "Eddie? *We* do not listen to Eddie" "We are so much more than just Adrian Toomes" etc

you know what'll be cool if they made spiderman wed of shadows2 and brought the black suit back and have a special gauge for the black suit to have rage mode and you can use for emergencies

There was going to be a Spider-Man: Web of Shadows 2 but it was cancelled due to poor reviews and probably sales of the first game.
