Lots of respect for JJ here. He hates Spider-Man but immediately realized that he was wrong. No humorous jokes, he immediately fired Eddie Brock and swallow his pride.

“I’ll lose everything.” Response: “You should’ve thought of that before.” Wise words to live by, always think before you act.

Another thing you can see here is that in the newspaper "Faker Fired", Jameson actually apologises to the public and even Spider-Man for Eddie's bs regarding Spider-Man. Just goes to show that even though Jameson hates Spider-Man, he has lines that he will not cross and he really takes his rules and morals seriously

I love how even the "evil" version of Peter did something righteous

The greatest part is that Eddie actually took Peter’s advice and got religion.

Even though Peter is possessed by evil incarnate that’s supposed to exacerbate the host’s rage and aggression, you can clearly see just how good a person at heart he is. Everything he does in this scene is entirely reasonable and justified. Also, “I’m gonna put some dirt in your eye” is just hilarious. I’d argue everything he does, up until he starts dancing in that idiotic suit, is actually healthy. He just chooses to grow a spine and it actually improves his life. He clears Spider-Man’s name, gets Eddie deservedly tossed out on his ass, calls Jameson’s bluff and actually starts extracting a decent salary, makes it clear that he’s finally done being Harry’s punching bag, and withholds rent from his landlord (an entirely legal action given his landlord’s consistent failure to fix the door). In other words, growing a spine was healthy for him and I was genuinely on his side here.

The best part is that Bully Maguire didn't even care about destroying Brock's life, he just wanted to put some dirt in his eye.

The weirdest thing is that Eddie actually followed Peter’s advice.

I respect that even though JJJ hates Spiderman, he would never willingly accuse him of something he didn't do.

I love how Jameson's anger in this scene is nothing like how it was when he'd yell at Peter or Spider-Man or whatever. Like, there you could tell it was just "fun anger"-that's just the way he talks-but here, you could tell he was so furious he was about to SNAP.

I love how this is meant to portrayed as an “evil act”, but Peter is actually doing the right thing here. Even when Peter is at his worst, he still does good things.

One of the most underrated moments of this scene is that Jonah is so furious with Eddie’s forged photos that the force he slams them onto his desk is loud AND fast enough to sound like the crack of a whip. He was _irate_ in that moment and yet in the next we he was able to level himself to tell Brock he was fired.

Even in that Evil suit Peter isn't even EVIL ENOUGH. He says things right on face , He stood for himself. The world didn't deserve that shy, good hearted person I love this series because the message these movies gave.

I know this is a scene where it is supposed to show Peter as the evil guy... But seriously, what did Eddie expect?! He acted exactly like the journalists giving journalists a bad reputation. Calling him out on that and showing the truth was the right thing here. It's not like Eddie stole bread because he was hungry. He faked a photo just because he wanted to be recognized by the big guys, and giving Spider-Man a bad reputation. He had talent, he was able to take a photo of Spider-Man before, that is why he was at the Daily Bugle in the first place. And yes, Spider-Man crashed his camera, but then write about that! Or get a new camera and try again from a safer distance! He had talent and wasted it on cheating. So, no - I have no sympathy for Eddie here. Also I really love JJJs reaction here. Normally he is an angry blood-boiling asshole but this time... it was (in comparison to his former behaviour) calm. Angry, yes, but calm. Not his typical "YOU'RE FIRED!", a calm "Pack your things". Shows that JJJ is an asshole, but someone with (kind of) honor.

I love how this trilogy portrays Jameson. He is a snarky jerk, but he's very honest about his work and has a lot of dignity. Here he is given a chance to incriminate Spider-Man but refuses because he wants genuine evidence.

This is the best Spider-Man movie in the trilogy in my opinion. I also was surprised of how pissed J Jonah Jameson was when he discovered the forgery, even though he truly despises Spider-Man. Even someone like JJJ has boundaries that include the protection of his company even if it means defending Spidey. Eddie deserved that humiliation

I like the idea that JJ was so on board for smearing Spidey's public image with the photo, but he also wanted to do it legitimately. Finding out the photo was a fake spoiled the whole experience for him. He didn't want anyone else to lie about Spider-Man being bad, only he gets the privilege.

What I love about JJJ is you can tell he's genuinely angry. His over the top shouting and insults are just his personality and him pushing his employees to do better. But here he calmly says "Pack your things and get out" then raises his voice slightly to tell Brock he's fired. He doesn't make a witty joke or insult, just straight up says "leave". I find that more intimidating than his usual shouting
