It's not just a Manchester thing. It spoke to people from everywhere, which is why bands get into it and ultimately everyone else gets into it. Get over it Manchester, there's a whole universe out there...
i used to think the same about Sterophonics, then realised there well liked Global a boy i knew this was his Style music, ian Brown trough and trough in his Bones. sadly took his Life a while back this life. like Matrix i suggest we take the red pill :)
Mate, get to fuck ! Manchester ruled the music world in the 80s and 90s with bands such as Joy Division, The Buzzcocks, New Order, The Smiths, The Stone Roses, Happy Mondays and Oasis. Then we also had the acid house and Madchester scene with the Haçienda, the International 1 & 2 and the underground gigs in the Boardwalk, Band on the Wall and the Roadhouse. Manchester is crawling with musical talent, culture, fashion and style.
