Not saying these issues won't be solved eventually, but is this the way to do it?

The movie whether it should be erased from being seen is up to debate, but adding an image that says "this movie was created in 19** and shows wrong depictions of how black people were actually treated, watch this movie knowing it is not kind to black people." is the bare minimum.

Something that's usually left out about Hattie McDaniels Oscar win is that the hotel that hosted the Oscars in 1939 had a no blacks allowed policy. The producer for Gone with the Wind had to call in a favor so that she would be allowed into the building. Context is important.
