This show is always at its peak when they have New Yorkers on. Even when they're just random people in the street, that's why I love their outside segments. They also have a good flow.

nicolasviaje yes because they’re almost always Knick fans too so they can talk about that. Tracy Morgan, ASAP Rocky, Wu Tang interviews were so good for that reason, they can talk so much New York stuff but it’s also not very exclusive either which is great

I'm from Brooklyn, born and raised, but gentrifiers and people who are selling to them are attempting to rebrand bed stuy by calling ALL OF IT Stuyvesant Heights, instead of JUST the southwest portion. Things are changing quick and it will be worse if we don't act.

@Alfonso G Yep! Gentrification, especially in the face of burgeoning industries like the modern resurgence of marijuana, are the national shifts that fuel that displacement of the "lower" classes. They do it every time!

I think you're assuming that I'm viewing gentrification from a strictly racial standpoint to assume that is strictly an injustice that is impacting people of color. The injustice in gentrification doesn't solely lie with the displacement of people of color but of society's current undesirables. It was Jewish people and Italians in the 70s (as well as through other points in history, just citing your example), just as it was Irish people in the mid-19th century. The further categorization of races fuels racism and societal injustice because it is profitable to disenfranchise some at the financial gain of others. That is my problem with gentrification. Just as other forms of injustice, it serves the few, but impacts the many.
