A short video I put together with the help of AI. I wanted to experiment with this new format and see what people though. I know it's not correct. The over summerization of the words is from me. While I'm no expert in the history of spinning, I understand there were lots of additional steps, but I wanted to keep this around 1 minute so this was the script I came up with. The incorrect images are thanks to the AI, and it generated much worse. This was just my favorites of what it did come up with.

Honestly, the 'spinning' shown is hilarious! AI has not idea how it's done...

Very true! I have tried numerous times to get AI graphics software to represent spinning correctly, and... nope. Still trying!

I love the narration, but im not sure about the AI imagery. Its pretty clear that AI doesn't quite understand fiber 😂😂😂 would love to see projects like this as a collaboration with fiber artists who are also graphic designers

That's a good suggestion. I agree there are a lot of mistakes in the images.

I think what you say is succinct and effective but the Japanese style of animation draws me to the conclusion that the roots of the craft come from Japan. Was this your intention? It feels like a misleading visual message, if I’m honest.

I honestly just picked anime because I like that style and AI is good at drawing that style. I didn't think about it being associated with Japan since it's such a broadly used style now for all sorts of storeis, but I can see where some still associate it with certain historal paths. Also this is not meant to be historally accurate. I know there were lots of steps between a drop spindle and a modern flyer that I described in the video. Really I just wanted to review the basic history and remind people of eSpinners (very self serving, but my hope is some find this entertaining).

No need to explain. Just an observation.

Insipid. Not actually very informative, with inappropriate illustrations, and annoying narration....I truly hate AI and its fake creativity. Sorry.
