A quick before & after showing the results of the Spin Clean record washing system. Made the record look brand new, and removed a lot of the pops and cracks that were there before. I use this every time I come back from a record show with a stack of used dirty records. Obviously, it won't fix any permanent damage, but does a great job removing dirt, oils and fingerprints that can effect playback.

Ordered mine yesterday, hope I'm not going to be disappointed, I've been watching a lot of these videos. 😁

Good job, Stacey! I, too, love my Spin Clean. The difference it makes in the looks AND sound of a vinyl 45 and LP is incredible. Wish I had discovered it years ago.

Thanks Gary! I have a newer, even more thorough video of the Spin-Clean on RU-vid now as well. Check it out! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-M53TmQYgoRQ.html

@@NeedleDropRules Oh, yeah! I sure did see it before! (I knew your name sounded familiar!) Not only had I watched your newer video before, I left a comment after which we had a back-and-forth conversation going -- you enjoy beer during your Spin Clean sessions while I enjoy a Scotch-On-The-Rocks with mine; I used to clean my records "under" the kitchen sink...er, fawcet, etc.! As long as I have your attention again, Stacey, I was wondering.... Is it okay to use Purified water with the Spin Clean instead of Distilled water? Last night, a friend picked up a case of 6 one-gallon bottles for me at Sam's Club but all they had was Purified water. I was thinking that, as long as it doesn't contain minerals from tap water, it should work okay with the Spin Clean record cleaner fluid. Is it indeed safe for my records?

Gary S. Lol! That’s awesome! After you mentioned the drinks, I totally remembered our conversation! I’ve heard people say that purified water is okay. I’ve just always used distilled because that’s what this and other manufacturers have recommend. At the very least, you’ll know if it worked or not after cleaning and playing. If you hear more pops than you expected, then it probably wasn’t the best. If it sounds good, then it was fine. One thing is for sure, it’s definitely better than tap water. Thanks for the good conversations. Keep spinning bud!

Thank you for sharing. How many records have you cleaned using the same cleaning solution?
@NeedleDropRules
@NeedleDropRules 8 лет назад
At the most, maybe about 50 records between solution swaps. And I usually wait until I have at least 10 used dirty records before I mix everything for a new batch. The good part is that if you remove the cleaning pads, you can leave the solution in the tank for at least a week!

Update...I've now easily used if for hundreds of records. Still going strong.

I almost always stop at 50. Twice, however, I went past that amount when I forgot to count out 50 ahead of time and inadvertently went into the 60+ count. Then, at the end of my 45-cleaning project, I purposely went past 50 simply because I was THIS CLOSE to having finished my entire 45-cleaning project and didn't want to save the remaining few for another time. I saw no difference in cleaning quality whatsoever. The excess 45s looked and played just as clean and beautifully as those within the 50 count. I couldn't be more pleased!

Also dont forget to clean your stylus and change stylus every half year or so depending how much you play.

brainache555 is this a joke? Half a year?
@brainache555

Miguel Gonzalez Not a joke. It may sound good but the stylus starts to wear on your records.

brainache555 even changing it every year is extreme. With regular use it should last you at least 2-3 years minimum

Miguel Gonzalez That’s what the experts say. It lasts for years sure. But like I said the stylus/needle starts to wear on your records.
