Jamin Winans is such a great director. I highly recommend you his movies "Ink", "The frame" and lately, the documentary "Childhood 2.0" that he made, you can find it on youtube :)

I'm using this film in my Ethics of Communication course as a great tool to introduce students to the concepts of ethical dilemmas, second chances, situation analysis, and many others. Every year we watch it, something new emerges in the discussion. This year, for a 5th or 6th time now the students pointed out that it would be sooooo much better in HD.

My dad really loved this video back in the day, he'd watch it all the time. Haven't thought about it for years, but the other time travel thing he liked at the same time was Primer, and I just re-watched that with friends, which reminded me of this. I'm glad I was able to find it, considering I didn't remember the name. The ol' man passed away a few years back, couldn't exactly ask him. Anyway, this was a really neat little part of my childhood, nice to remember some of the things dad loved.

I've seen it five or six times and I still love it. The moment when the lady gets up out of the wheelchair and they start dancing always gives me good chills. I like the message of it too, although it's a fairly subtle one - everyone can just do a little something to make things right, and if we all do that, then bigger things will be right. A snowball effect...

I first saw this about 7 years ago and was blown away. I like to watch this whenever I need inspiration for creativity and screenwriting/filmmaking. This is such a brilliant short that has so much to offer in that it shows how effective a story can be without the need for dialogue. This is a great character, with a specific goal, obstacles along the way and a great resolution. The visuals imply all that is needed and the score is perfect. A true masterpiece in filmmaking.

When I saw it first time, it was 2006 or 2007 I think, but I steal watch it and like it so much! Just a very good work from all points of view: sound, frames, editing, acting! I like it all! Thank you for sharing!

this guy makes a good angel. he has striking eyes. and at the end he sighs, and cant resist helping the little girl one last time. humorous and comforting.

That was nothing short of awesome! If you haven't seen Ink, a movie directed by the same guy who directed this short film, do yourself a favor and watch it. I just watched it last night and it is one of the best, most beautiful movies I've ever seen.

I finally found it! I saw this waaaaay back in the day, probably from Stumble Upon, and I've thought about it for YEARS! I wanted to watch it again and I found it! This is so insanely well done! No words, so it works in any language! I feel that "angel's" mood as a parent! The lighting is inconsistent, and there are some creative cinematography cheats, but for the time that this was filmed, it's unparalleled at it's awesomeness!!! 5 Stars and 2 thumbs up! It's still good!

wow 40 awards... i think this film should get more than that. I kept watching till the end. The first drop of him on the ground felt like "GOD" had sent him. DJ rules for music and also for Life. Editing is also superb in this film. Without a dialogue it's not easy to tell a story but this one did it brilliantly. Many Thumbs up ! for k6yar films -- ruben

This is one of the best combinations I've seen of cause-and-effect and trying to fix the time-space momentum by the use of music ... Just great ! How everything falls into one piece; A real treat for anyone who likes mystery and music. Pure art!

Fantastic film ! I love cinema. This scores a 8.7 out of 10. in the short fil genre. A DJ friend told me fifteen years ago at one of my dance parties that his ilk were the philosophers of the party. This angelic turntablist fits the description well.

Really, really nice treatment of a really nice idea, doing one of the things I like best in short films: A world with a simple rule (DJ controls time) and a small cast of characters, all of whom play important roles as a whole. Hard to do. You can tell the director of this has made commercials, too - the sense of rhythm in the actions, editing and blocking is spectacular. One of the best short films I've seen in a while. I'll have to check out Ink.

I knew it :) Just watched the movie "Ink" randomly and saw a scene where Jacob the Pathfinder does something very similar to this, and it tickled my memory... had to search for a bit online before I finally found this video, and yep, made by the same people. Really neat concept.
