Every time tekking talks about Buggy getting the one piece, the orange town villagers are turning in their graves.

7:59 You see, I prefer the Honesty Impact moment, but not because of how badass it was (okay, a little because of that). I really liked how he wanted to "live up to [Garp's] expectations!" and how we found out that he had secretly been training 200x harder than his peers to just get monstrously strong! So, for me, the Honesty Impact WAS a great character moment!

I think Garp being captured is how he gets to Laugh Tale and since it will be such a large war Koby will team up with the Straw Hats for a while to save Garp because Luffy won't let another member of his family die because of Black Beard.

Luffy and Dragon need to be present if Garp is going to die he's not just important to Koby. And Oda needs to give us interaction between that family before that happens too. This is why I'm confident Luffy will attempt to rescue Garp at some point, and what better way to spark the personal reason for a clash between him and Blackbeard than him threatning to kill ANOTHER one of Luffy's family.

If Garp gets handed over to the Cross Guild and dies by their hand, I wonder if MIhawk will be the one to kill him. That would be an interesting dynamic: Zoro's mentor killing his Captain's grandfather

I think this but with like a short time limit for each character could be interesting. Tekking, being known for being able to make 20 minute videos talking about his favorite type of bread, on a time limit, could be amusing.

I loved the tension of the hand-off with Ace in Impel Down, would love to see something like that with Garp and the Blackbeard Pirates and Cross Guild.

Considering Smoker & the Narrator of One Piece share the same voice perhaps Smoker will be an author and write down Luffy's adventures in a comic strip much like the Adventures of Sora.

I just want to take a moment and say thank you to Tekking, who can literally spin a wheel of random characters and talk for 20 minutes, unscripted, unedited, about One Piece, and has been doing it for nearly a decade at this point. It's a gift, and thank you for sharing it with us fans.

i commented on Artur's twitter a while ago about how a frame of the anime was drawn making him look like Deku.... it got some decent traction, i would not be surprised if it ended up taken by a larger blog and claimed as their own.

For me it will always be his stopping the war, he had the biggest balls on the battlefield in that moment and it solidified him as a character who doesn't just have strong morale, but is willing to step up to defend it. I think you can name a lot of characters who could have punched avalo pizarro, but no one else who could have stopped the war in the fashion he did. Sure without Shanks blocking the hit for him, his words would have fallen flat, but since they didn't, he is the rising star in the marines, and someone, who in this moment is seen as a competitor to find the one piece.

Honesty Impact should be coming up within the next couple of episodes. Can't wait to see Koby absolutely demolish Pizarro's fist.

Garp is kinda the Ace of the post Time skip. He gets and messes with Blackbeard to get captured and deliver to Luffy a reason to go and do something about that. And then he will be shattered by Kuzan in Fromt of Koby.

Now that I'm aging, I can't properly convey how vitriolically envious I am of Koby, or rather, the biology of the One Piece humans. Used to pushing my limits, I faced no consequence for lifting greater and great weighs until fairly recently, busting a shoulder. There's a threshold that must never be exceeded, lest disaster follows. Yet, in One Piece, if you push through the pain with stubborn determination, your recompense is immense. You become superhuman. But us? We just become crippled.

Blackbeard has become people with roles to get into places before. Clearly blackbeard wants to be a king to get into mariejois during a reverie and then once he got in there he'd do something but... that plan would take like 4 years so either it's gotta fail and plays into a way for his first plan to fail upwards or there's a second tine skip or getting the celestial dragons face is like the backup that works but even that's gonna have problems because Saturn is dead alltho who knows that question mark.
