Outstanding video! It's exactly how I have replaced these in the past. Excellent explanations and not just the how but also the why. Too bad other DIYers don't make their videos the same. Thanks bunches for sharing!
This vid became more so.....uh.........pornographic around three-eighths of the way through (@ 11:10)... c'mon I can't be the only one to be twisted enough to notice...his demeanor and voice/accent/commentary.... the visuals....no? ...okay, I'm terrible. LOL!!! Great Video only one of its kind...that shows tapered spindle install- so thanks so much!
I've seen them go by so many different names, it was extremely confusing. took me a week to verify what i needed. I think the answer is YES, but the place i bought it from (and many others) call it: ELIMINATOR 1750 SPINDLE, PART NUMBER 80324. that said, they go by another p/n as well. very confusing.
you talking tightening or loosening, from the outside or inside of the wheel? more context/details pls. are you changing your spindle or just removing castle nut etc.
you must be talking about 12:34 when i am installing castle nut at the back after new spindle was inserted. make sure the castle nut spins freely on the spindle, that is #1. any friction will cause spindle to spin too. Next make sure the spindle was inserted as tight as possible into the hub.
