Who are you? Who are you? Gonna teach me the lessons of life? Should I beg? Should I steal? If it's to die for, will it seal the deal? Should I kneel down and pray? Kneel down and kiss the divide? I live in fear, I have ill will What do you prescribe for a lack of faith? Is it an ocean away in a fortress high in the sky? The heavens gave way to a molten bloody clot Down came an angel such cantankerous rot Up rose the Devil to walk within us all A prescription for mankind? The Devil's dance with God Who, who are you? Gonna teach me the lessons of life? I should beg, I should steal I should die for if it seals the deal Oh, should I kneel down and pray? Kneel down and kiss the divide? Order, order, over and over Order, over, over and over Order, order, over and over Order, over, over... I am the ball, you are the chain Together we are connected as one I do believe Hell is on Earth I do believe Hell is on Earth I am the ball, you are the chain Together we are connected as one Order, order, over and over Order, over, over and over
did you guys listen to sweethead allready by the way? new band of Troy van Leeuwen (QOTSA guitar player) it's coming quite near spinnerette sound though spinnerette is better it's still nice to have some variety in music
Dreamboat! I thought the distillers sounded way too much like rancid when she was with that guy, now this sounds like queens of the stone age...but it rocks so whatever, and I like the fact that we get to hear her sing now too! Now to go see them live....hmm
I'm all for an artist's sound evolving, and she's definitely on a good path. Anyone who complains that she sold out because she's not doing "punk" music anymore, let me ask you a question. Do you hear this everywhere, like on the radio? Or do you have to actively search it out online? And personally, I'm glad you can hear Josh Homme's influence in her music now. If she just made the first Distiller's album over and over, it would get stale.
I'm impressed by Brody Dalle's song writing capabilities. I'm impressed by Paul McCartney's song writing capabilities for exactly the same reason, too.
Hey, that's not the whole song, is it? There should be a one-minute section of silence and then the track should go for another 2 minutes. The whole song is 7 minutes long.
To my mind, the silence section should be shorter. This minute always drags endlessly when I'm waiting for the song to pick up again. Nevertheless, I love the song and I love Brody.
Yea thats true, this seems like some kind of middle between what usualy is.. it's often much longer or relatively shorter, but i guess that's part of an artists own interpretation
