Our Spinone is five now. He’s hilarious. Clownish, affectionate, gentle, he’s adorable. He comes up the pub with me and lets everyone pat him. He’s loved in our house and village.
@Bonnie Blink I’ve been a dog sitter off n on most of my life! Since June 1 until this Friday the 30th I’ve had Hank a Spinone white/orange and I’m in love! Love the Great Danes and other big ones but this guy is the happiest fella I’ve ever had the pleasure of hanging out with! His family will be back and I’ll be broken hearted. So broken hearted I’m going to start looking for one of my own!
Maggie, our spin, was taken into pet shop for a few bits and pieces At cash desk she wouldn't look at me or the cashier even when offered a treat. She did, in the end, look in my direction. In her mouth was a large bone. She had been shoplifting!! Best and funniest dog I have owned.
A true gentle giant. Mine, Gianna, is 12.5 now, slowing down a bit. Not a mean bone in her body, a silly funny breed. A little messy at times, best dog i have ever had, by far.
I have a spinone and they are the most amazing dogs. their personality is extremely unique. they are goofy, loyal, loving, stubborn and are the biggest sucky babies! remington is an orange roan with golden eyes. 💗 he is almost 7 years old and has my heart 🐶
@Kat K Mydaughter and I both foster and dog sit. Had Hank 2 yr spinone for a month and we both agreed he is the happiest and funniest and most stubborn guy we’ve ever had! So in love with him!
I love our spinone. 13 wks old. He is a joy to be around. Quite entertaining. Very smart and easy to train. As soon as he is able, we will train him to hunt, pheasants, chukar, duck and geese, and quail. He loves the water!
Beautiful dog. I LOVE their faces!!! The look like a very wise and loving breed of dog, full of energy and ready to run and play. Good video. How is Andy doing? Is he done with his training as a service dog? I would like to see and hear about him.
Andy is now officially a guide dog :) His professional training was very fast, not even a 1 year, so he was doing good job. I do not have much info, i do not know in which part of republic he is living now and i do not have a contact on his new family. It is better if i will not meet him anymore, it can be confusing for the dog. It was hard when i was giving him back to the training station, but now i am happy because he is serving a good purpose.
I care for a Spinoni Itlaliaos- he is an 8 year old with severe drooling, odor and lately, is simply depressed. He recently lost a parent, so understand he’s grieving, but I’m afraid and think there is something more. PLEASE PLEASE HELP.
Excessive drooling can be sign of a health problem, especially if it started in a dog that was not drooling before. I dont know if your dog was drooling before or if the drooling is excessive, hard to tell over comments.. It is always better to discuss it with veterinarian.. Excessive drooling can be sign of emotional reaction (excitement, fear, sadness, nervousness), but it can also be side effect of some medication, nausea, dental problems, irritation of lips and mouth, allergi or infection. it can be also sign of poisoning, but if your dog is drooling for longer period of time, it is probably not the case. Or he can have something "stuck" in the mouth. There really are many possible causes and it would be best to consult it with someone in person.
A very communicative breed that focusses attention on the humans and often ignores other dogs. Ours will avoid going out in the rain and for that reason can hold pee and poo for 24 hours! She is not a greedy eater and lives in harmony with our 3 cats. Likes going in water and fetching sticks and floats but has to be coaxed out of her depth to have a swim.
We have 6 mo old Spinone. Smart, energetic, kind spirit. But, they are stubborn, and a little standoff ish towards certain people. The biggest issue I have is they consume large quantities of water and their beards and ears get drenched. Unless you are at the ready to wipe them off, they will cover your house with slobber! If I had known this prior to receiving him, I most likely would have chosen another breed. But, we deal with it. We will be hunting with this dog, so hopefully he shines hunting.
I wouldn't exactly call that a big problem. If you truly loved your dog you wouldn't have even mentioned it. Maybe you should find a better home for him. I'm tired of telling people to do extensive research before you buy any breed.
If you're tired of telling people that maybe you should find another hobby. I did plenty of research on this breed. I also have a friend who has one. Rarely does anyone mention about the slobber and water in their beards. Who the f#ck are you to tell me to get rid of my dog? @@bordercollie1140
I adore the Spinone. You could never wish for a better compagnion. On the other side , the person talking about this breed should better follow a course presenting, intonating, sounds like a dead robot.
