Was interested to see what was going on behind the scenes with the riffs, and this cover answered that well. Spiritbox songs are always more detailed than they seem upon listening. Also, it's so cool that you got to record this on the Boom(er) Slayer, the headless 9-string

Invest in a Digitech dt or pitch shift plugins on your DAW

I just saw Mike Stringers 3 touring guitars and none were a 9 string. 2 7 strings one Jackson one aristides and a a 6 string. So he used a 9 string in studio for rotoscope?

Andrew if you read this could you please tell what you think about 9strings in general? Or anyone here if you own a 9string please tell your opinion) I mean is scale length enough for such low stuff? Or do you have to play extra accurately in order for it to sound properly? I have a 6 and an 8 but rn think about selling them both and bying a nice 7string and using a pedal/midi effect in order to get down to infernal tunings when necessary. OR maybe bying a 9) But a 7 for me rn is a more preferable option

Depends on how low you want to go, 7 and 8 will do okay for around Drop F, anything lower you're going to want a longer scale length and watch how hard to press in on the strings to stay accurate. I have a 10 string with a 30" scale length and holds super low tuning well (Double Drop A is what I have it in) I also have a 6 and 8 string. The 8 is Double Drop A# to Drop F to Drop C. The six is in Drop C and can play well with my whammy to replicate low tunings, but if you want Super low you better go with the real deal because it gets muddy sounding with pitch shifting and the pick attack is just not the same.. I'd recommend a 9 for sure, or stick to your 8 and pitch shift it. I only have a 10 string because it was beautiful and way cheaper than other 30" scale lengths I was looking at.lol

@@tfwnoyandere that’d make sense since their primary tuning is drop f#, so just tune an octave down for certain parts. The key of the song is still G Minor tho so it’d make sense for G to be a primary note they keep chugging on.
