@@moegerms Agreed, I honestly think they could replace 3-4 of the current songs in the set with some of their old stuff. I read on a forum that apparently Mike hates the beauty of suffering though. Which probably explains why I wasn't crazy about Eternal Blue. You know it's a bad sign when the band itself doesn't like your favorite songs lol.
@@adamantiumrage i thought it just had to do with the fact that the older material are 6 minutes long and as a support act you rather play 2 songs instead of 1 long one. not sure which forum you're referring to, it could be that i'm not up-to-date on things
@kapricun I believe I saw it on Reddit. That forum is a cesspool, but the coincidence of them basically erasing anything off the Mara Effect from their live catalog AND their original bassist leaving the band start adding up. I miss their progressive stuff. The fact Eternal Blue had practically no leads/ solos is really a damn shame. However I loved the EP that came out after it.
breakdown in "Cellar Door" live without any headbanging in the band looks totally BADASS. totally love Courtney's style - coming on the stage like she has finished her shift in the office. but well - she got it. it TOTALLY FITS. and Josh vocals - WOW. love this band.
josh singing on jaded and Void is what we needed!!!! he was already good on yellowjacket but absolutely loving him as an addition here since his departure with AILD
I'm here for metalcore, Prog Metal & Post Metal because there's so much great music coming out. We finally get appreciation for distorted vocals and crunchy riffs. When I saw *the fake* "Lorna Shore playing at a major awards ceremony", I was overcome with joy because we broke a glass ceiling. Even though it was a fake, it doesn't seem too far fetched for a prog Metal/metalcore outfit like Spiritbox to get on one of those stages soon.
26:12 - I'll be exactly like this dude in the crowd when I see Spiritbox live (hopefully, in a gig happening later this year with BMTH, Motionless In White and The Plot In You - at least, if I have money for the tickets lol)
@@HansArteagaRomero hope you have a chance of seeing them all live (more economic choice for you if Colombia gets a show, I know the struggle, fellow South American 😅 way closer to home as well). If you decide to watch here in Brazil, hope you have a safe trip and a chance to enjoy some touristic landscapes (also, a bit of feijoada and caipirinha doesn't hurt, as long as they're consumed in moderation).
I can't speak for American crowds in general, but I flew to Vegas from Canada for this show and Sick New World festival and I was actually quite impressed with both crowds! Idk specifically what you're referring to about the crowd, but I find Canadian crowds way less tolerable than what I experienced this last week. My only "complaint" was that there were a few times where I questioned why people were just standing still rather than getting into it, but everyone has their own way of enjoying the show, and honestly if I was tall enough to see over anyone I'd probably stand there and stare in awe too 😂
