This month we speak with Chartreuse Spirits Specialist Ria Soler and Director of Importing Philippe Rochez. Who teach us everything we want to know about the delicious herbal French Liqueur.
This video has encountered it's own set of problems and we didn't get to shoot it exactly how we wanted o because of the sheer volume of people that showed up to the event, and our space being kind of small. The info in it is amazing and if you watch the whole talk it'll answer any and every question you may have about Chartreuse, it history and it's application. We are so thankful to Ria and Philippe for taking the time to come and speak with us and allowing us to film.
This episode was not sponsored by Chartreuse, I am approached them to come and speak and I'm glad they did. I hope you guys get as much out of it as I did, and at 30 minutes I know it's kind of a long video but whether you watch it all at once or in pieces its here for you.
As usual I gotta say, we started a Patreon site to help offset the cost of the show and if any of you are inlined to help out we have some great perks for supporters and donations start at just 1.00 a month. You can find it here: / drinktheseries

This is genuinely one of the best videos related to Chartreuse available on the Internet. Thank you for uploading and for having such excellent guests.

Last word cocktail was one of the best ways I've found to introduce people to chartreuse, now I've found a video to show them.

I personally enjoy it with just tonic water. It's very refreshing and has a dynamic flavor range

The Vegetal is now available in the states, it wasn't hard to track down here in Chicago. I mixed Heirloom Brand Genepy and Chartreuse Vegetal 4:1 and it's pretty damn close to Green Chartreuse. Cheers!

Finally got to try Chartreuse! I did so as a digestif, and tried both iced chilled and neat (room temp). It's a different experience, with the warm one evolving much longer (this might sound funny, but breath in through your teeth after the aromas start dying off, you'll discover other layers). Thanks Leandro for this episode!

Hard to tell with his accent, but when he was talking about the 22 monasteries did he say that one of them is in Maine, here in the U.S? Jw because I’m a lifelong Mainer, I’ve lived in rural central/northern Maine depending on what part you visit and who you talk too lol. (Ex. I work in the Winslow/Augusta area and they all think they’re central Maine, but where I live in between Newport and Corinna, they’re southern Maine too me. Penobscot County is pretty well central/northern Maine.) In my county you can get wicked rural. And I mean WICKED RURAL, no cell service and internet doesn’t go out their type of rural lol, my younger brother lives 40 mins from me and that’s how it is at his place, you disconnect for sure up here. It would be a fantastic state for a monastery, and if one of Chartreuse’s is up here that would be amazing lol

It's very refreshing to hear someone besides Mr Barfly (I don't know his name) talk. He talks WAY to much in his videos so much sometimes it's obnoxious. This video is refreshing and very educational.

I'm not gonna lie. I was a little too distracted by the popped collar to concentrate on what he was saying. I was just waiting for that shit to fall down, or get an awkward kink in it.

The comments that Elixir Vegetal isnt available in the USA is completely false. There are numerous options for purchase and delivery to USA residents. Ive purchased multiple myself.
