I've wondered about the venomous snakes in your part of the country. Does Milo ever get in a tangle with snakes? Beautiful cobra - looks wildly lethal.
In my experience dogs, like many other animals, who have no immunity against various snake venoms, instinctively stay clear of venomous snakes...Badgers,as you may no,would think nothing of taking on a poisonous snake as they are immune to a number of snake venoms..The fact that the snake spits the poison at the eyes does of course raise the question:" Which specific animals have this instinctive knowledge about spitting snakes,if any..?? " Maybe Jors knows..?
Beautiful specimen, Jors. Thank you for showing us. If you want a snake to look in any other direction to get a 'photo of the head, just wave a stick with a lappie on the end near it: it will always turn to look at the movement. I carry one of those extendable magnetic pick-up tools (that looks like an aerial) with my multitool on my belt and there is always a roll of toilet paper in the cubbyhole and one in my day bag, which goes everywhere with me, so it's easy to make such a distraction for any snakes I may encounter.
Beautiful creature so mysterious and of ancient origins. Still surviving on this Earth as we humans come and go. To think that that animal is living alone in the wilderness just like its ancestors have for millions of years absolutely fascinates me and that's why wilderness should be protected and kept pristine. I watched from here in Brittany France and we get vipers here but nothing like that. All the best.
@@JorsMalan A good survival strategy to pair up. They seem quite emotionally clever as if actually you properly scared it while filming. Then it decided to head out gradually increasing speed so that you weren't triggered to chase it. Kind of like the snake was thinking a bit.
