I miss this time, when I cam back home from school. And there were many uploads of new games that were played. I just watched every single one. Probably spent thousands of hours just watching pro plays.
David Louis the story for SC2 was so disappointing..after all the badass build up with the amazing atmosphere of the original and brood wars secret level, my childhood was forever crushed..
Nein danke BW tournaments and streams are regaining popularity in South Korea (because most people here were disappointed by SC2 and nostalgic for BW), and Brood War veterans are playing again. Some Korean gaming channels are re-hosting BW tournaments as well, although not in the scale of the "good old days". There are also young and active BW players that emerged post-SC2 migration that are arguably equal to, or better than the old players (that is a topic for another time...). However, the tournaments are all in Korean, and the titles are in Korean, so it might be hard to find for non-Koreans. Fresh matches are made every day, and the strategies/builds are still changing; BW is still alive and breathing.
@@nestcanz one would define cheese as an all in game where if your specific strategy to finish the game fast (or manage to make a considerable damage to the opponent) dont work you lose rush to drop lurkers would be in my book a cheese .. but it was done so well it may be considered one of the best games especially considering the opposition he played against
@@nestcanz risky is an understatement , its more of an action where if you dont succeed you are so far behind in term of economy or tech that the game is considered a loss
Yellow did everything almost perfect in this game. Perfect micro, perfect placements of lurkers to avoid cannons, perfect timing. When you want to show your friends of a game of being 'out played', this is it.
If I remember correctly this was when Yellow was in military and wasn't at top performance anymore. He was supposed to lose this game but he used a brilliant tactic with the overlords for take bisu offguard. Really nice game.
wasnt on form was an understatement until that game he had 2 and half years without a win !!! and against the best pvz in that era this was the biggest upset if i ever seen one ... shame the team lost 3-1 but still this game will be remembered for ages:)
I want two things: 1. Translation of what the commentators are screaming about and what they're saying about this absolutely amazing match. 2. One of those MBC commentator clips on this match. They MUST have tears of joy pouring out over this match :D
@petvnla The crowd's reaction isn't strictly starcraft related. Yellow is a former champion who is considered old and washed up. The only thing holding him up is his former reputation as champion. Bisu is a modern day champion. Yellow is loved, but he was a heavy underdog in this match, but people will always watch him play because of he has earned the respect of his fans. Fans go into the match expecting him to lose, but he defeats the STRONGEST protoss in the world. Storm Zerg fighting!
wut a strange out of normal game not only yellow won first time in 735 days, but also... there are so many GORGEOUS BABES who doesnt hide their faces (normally they only show ugly chicks -_-) like at 3:50, 5:55, 6:49, 10:37, 11:02
This was one of the first times I've actually jumped up in my chair and screamed GG!!!! at the end of this match hahaha People were screaming and crying on the stream and the forums.
lol lakers vs 76ers every1 was an underdog 2 shaqs lakers back then, boy he was an absolutely ferocious 75 ft tall beast back then. boy did i miss the shaq of the lakers. anyways, ya this match was more like a david (yellow) vs goliath (bisu) who wouldve thought the goliath is now a toss, when back then the goliath used 2 always be the zerg.
What's the big deal @ 3:45 ?? I hear it's some-what inappropriate to show affection like this in public in Korea. Now these two will probably be married... or be ashamed of this on air kiss ? I'm really curious...
@polarbearkillemu lol yeah. i can't believe i used to watch that shitty show D:. well, the japanese version isn't bad. it's the only the English versions of animes where they spam crappy catch phrases :P
there reason is such a great game is because of the OUTCOME!!! NO ONE WOULD EVER THINK HE'D WIN THE GAME. THAT'S WHY THE LOSING PLAYER IS IN SHOCK AND THAT THE FANS ARE GOING CRAZY JUST LIKE I AM
I would be the happiest student of the world if my teacher would see a pro leage of SC.... maybe the exam will be : "how many VCE you should have before the barrack ?" lol. thx for the answer.
That's because he fucking cant. Besides, he was going sair/reaver, which takes a bit more time than your average +1 2 archons push or dt/sair. That slow drop was so brilliant. A bit risky tho.
AWESOME! Watch the game then read the comments...ALL of them (especially the first couple)!!! RU-vid literally won't let me thumbs up any more comments because I did it too many times on this video!
Even after bisu lost, he poses his thinking pose for the audience.....don't think too much...you mind must be filled with YELLOW zergs. Go to the military dude...that will man you up!
you know, something that isn't noted as much, but YellOw is known for his ridiculous amount of practice time, which also is the case for his time in ACE. Note how happy his teammates are for him when he wins. That's the widest smile I've ever seen on Casy and GoRush. God, I love ACE. GO TEAM!
Question: So usually the crowd is with Bisu at least the girls, but this game it seemed the crowd LOVED yellow. Is there a reason for this, as it seems to be an anomoly
LOL at 3:45! It says "I've fallen in love after I camed to watch star games! Airfoce ACE FTW", then they kissed each other lol. Afterwards, as you can hear shouting and screming, people got freaked out lol. Commentators said 'we can feel strange omen right here! It could be good omen for Yello!'. AND IT HAPPENED!! YELLOW! FTW!!!!!
i can't get over how amazing that game was. holy. shit. this was easily the most cheered game of all time. i wouldn't be surprised if this is the best game we'll see ALL year.
I live in Korea, and trust me they are not ashamed to be there. Really is just that the StarLeague and ProCup is played on cable tv across the country. The matches are usually played during school/cram school hours, and they could get in trouble by teachers (who watch also) if caught.
strictly speaking yellow has never been a champion, he only has multiple silvers in OSL and MSL and can only win special events he is still loved for being the storm zerg, however
Also, Yellow has not got 1st title in any singe big match. For like 8years, I think he got 2nd places about 9 times, but not a single 1st. So, people are kinda giving sympathetic view towards him. People want to see him winning. Also, the protoss player is very well known for the best player to kill a zerg player. His winning rate vs zerg is over 80%.
