I remember when I went to Disney my first time. my aunts told me we where going to the mall. so as we left and got there she told me to close my eyes vos she wanted me to be surprised. so me being young and all, I did. when I opened then u started balling my eyes out XD infrknt if me I saw "WELCOME TO DISNEYLAND!" My aunts yelled happy belated birthday and laughed as I cried happily. as soon as they gave me the phone to call my mom I started screaming "MOM! MOM IM AT FREAKING DISNEY! OMG MOM-" I started choking up so badly XD the people where so kind! My first ride was splashed mountain :) it was my favorite out of thunder mountain and space mountain! and I got thoes collectable dolls (Repunzal, who is currently in my self's) I told my teacher why I was gone and she noticed my tan XD she hugged me when I told her about Disney XD I was 9 ten. now im 12 and I'm waiting to go back for the second time ;)
lemme just say this, after going Disney World 1-2 times a year (No I'm not rich, my grandparents somehow got a job there and gets tickets for us) it NEVER gets old. I've been on splash mountain 18 times and even on the 19th I go on it, I still feel like its the 1st I've ever been on it. if your ANYWHERE CLOSE to California or Florida, BEG your parents to go there. the lines might be long (ok, WILL be long) it's so worth it.
This one has better animatronics faithful to the movie, the ones at DL that are not from AS are built from like 5 pneumatics and are very limited in movements, they should’ve left Floridas and only rethemed Californias
I love that ride, especially since it's probably the best value (length) for the wait time. The ride just keeps going on and on even after the big drop.
Went there last summer (July 2011) and I already wish I could go back, I went to all Disney World Parks plus both Universal Parks...it was the adventure of a lifetime :')
i rode this when i was 9 yrs old and i'm 26 currently, it was nice to relive the experience just like how you did, the big drop was the scary part but it was really cool =)
This is my family's favorite ride at Disney World, we ride it everytime we go (our last trip was in the middle of Dec, and we still rode it). Every year my mom would always say "We'll only buy a picture if we were in the 1st 2 rows (there were 4 of us) and every year without fail we wound up in the 1st 2 rows, so we have about 10-15 Splash mountain souvenier photos. My mom also used to sneak my sister on when she was too little to ride (they were "just goin to wlk thru to the exit",or not;).
😂 my dad and I got stuck for 2 hours at the bottom of the hill with the laughing vultures. Now I can figure out when the best time to go based solely on timing 😂
Going to Disney World for the first time in February! :D :D :D Eee! I can't wait. I've been to Disneyland so many times, and Tokyo Disneyland/Sea as well, but never to Disney World. Splash is awesome, but that horrible feeling of regret and straining when you're trying to smile at the big drop. Hahahah.
i was on this at the same time as a huge group of Greek guys screaming OPA!!!!! after evey turn and drop... by far one of my favorite Disney memories of alll time :D
I’ve been on countless rollercoasters, from Six Flags to Universal Studios, all of it. This is probably the scariest fucking ride I’ve ever been on in my life.
Great video! I remember going on this back in 97, but it was the one in California... was a fun ride but the line was HUGE!!!! Would love to check the one out in Florida as well as the other parks there someday.
Went to Florida in 2010 I was only 10 at the time and this was the best ride in my opinion I loved it!! I was scared at first because of the big drop and I'm not a fan of heights but I loved it!!
The first time I went on this I ducked and shut my eyes on the drops. But I loved it and I keep my eyes open to get a good picture.but we never do,someone either has there hands up blocking my face or I look like I am crying but I'm not.SPLASH MOUNTIAN FOREVER
Going to Disney World for the second time i do I remember 4 years ago going on that ride for the first, time scared me to death but now that I'm 13 I'm not so scared. :)
I LOVE this ride adn im 14! It doesnt matter how old you are to enjoy things I mean come on I LOVE Disney! Probably the ONLY thing that bothers me or bums me out if the fact you can see the people in front and behind you and sometimes it doesnt feel like youre "in" the ride :/
I watched this so many times and it never gets old lol. I reeeeaaally wanna go to Disney World cuz I've never been even though its a few states below me ;___;
my brother was four when we went to disney world the first time and he laughed on this ride when we dropped and when we rode the tower of terror he didnt scream he just sat there with a dull face while me and the rest of our family screamed our eyeballs out!
I love Disney world... Can't wait to be there in 15 day's! I'd rather spend my money there than at any other theme park! I don't think it's that expensive either and I eat at the park also...
I had a fastpass for this and people had been queuing for about 2 hours and I got straight on the ride! The dirty looks I got, well I did wave at them as I went past!
My cousin and I did splash mountain at night and when we got to the very top it was so pretty to see the castle all lite upand then we plummeted down it was so much fun
I remember when i was 3 and i went on this and i cried the whole way round. I wanted to get off before the big drop, but obviously the only way to get off at that point is to get to the end. I was not a happy bunny.
I went on this ride when I was in the fourth grade and even til this day it still scares me. The actual ride doesn't scare me but those puppet things singing around scare me. And I'm 18 now and I STILL won't go on that ride again!
Omg I REALLY WANT TO GO ON THIS SO BADLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I might be going there next year! Lol over in Northern Ireland we don't have that much BIG rides like that bit we do have some cool ones :))
One of the best rides in the world to evperience. And I do mean EXPERIENCE. This video is fine but it doesn't do the ride any justice, you have to see it in person
I didn't ride it when I went in 2008 cause I chickened out. I went again in 2011 and rode it, I was in love! I rode it at least 5 times. We got stuck once which was around twilight time when they were switching everything over to how it looks at night. When I went on senior trip in 2012 my friend and I rode it another 5 times and she's terrified of things like this
I remember riding this with my dad when I was 12, when we got to the first 20ft drop inside, my dad thought it was the big one and screamed like a girl! Never let him live it down. XD
I looooooove Disney and I loooove this ride so much. We went this past summer and the ride broke on us right before the drop in front of Brier Fox and Brier Rabbit so the Disney people had to free us in the middle of the "Laughing Place." Disney also must be trying to conserve their water because the drop on this ride is now naked and they turned off some of the water so you don't get as wet as you used to.
I went on this ride when I was 10 years old with my Grandmother and she was more scared than I was! Lol.......however, she also rode Space Mountain with me so GO GRANDMA! ;-)
i went to disney in 2011 and 2005 and i loved both times.. in 2005 i was 4 Y.O. and in 2011 i was 12 Y.O. but in 2011 splash mountain was closed for some reason :( i was soooo sad
