This is a Gretsch Catalina Birch (vintage burst) fusion drumset. Yes, this is the stock snare that came with the gretsch drums. In the first half of the video i have a splash on the snare.

5" (self made) Bell
Recording:
Mic: I have two overhead mics, snare mic, bassdrum mic, floortom mic and only one mic for the high toms. (Yoga drum microphone set + SM58)
Mixer: Sondcraft Spirit Folio SX16
Recorder: Sony Net MD MZ-N710 minidisc recorder
Mastering: Adobe Audition 3.0 (Trial version)
Used effects: Multi-band compressor, reverb, EQ, loudness
Video: good and old Minolta Dimage Z1 :)

Szia Lacka! Köszönöm szépen a szép szavakat! Pont az a hibám, ami az előnyöm. Minél több dologhoz ért az ember, annál kevésbé profi az egyes területeken. Remélem, hogy az évek, meg a rutin (meg a kitartó gyakorlás a metronómmal) majd meghozzák a gyümölcsüket! Sok még a pontatlanság, sok a hiba, a kisebb-nagyobb tempó ingadozás. A hangzásra viszont büszke vagyok. :) Minden jót kívánok! Üdv: Viktor

Szia, tetszik nagyon hogy hallatszik a játékodon hogy jó zenéket (is) hallgatsz, ötletes dolgokat csinálsz. Valahol 1:40 és 2:50 körül volt egy-egy rövid groove ami jól meg is szólalt, külön tetszett. Szerintem jó sok zenét fogsz még nyomni, sok örömöt adjon, sikert, stb :) Benned van :) Keep groovin' man!

:) I have a splash on the snare drum in the first half in the video. I prefer the Remo heads. I have a special dempfer in the top head as you can see (the little black line). The sound is not a miracle. I hit the the drumhead and the rim at the same time. I use multi-band compressor and mastering effect at the end. That's my secret. Oh! And high tuning. I think that's all.

Thanks! :) I know, but haven't got gaffa tape in my practice room when i recorded this video.

Köszönöm szépen! Használok duplázót, de itt nem sűrűn vettem elő, csak egy-két fill-nél. A tanáros biztosan jobban dobol, mint én. Sajnos sok még a pontatlanság, de ezek nagy része most az improvizációból is adódhatott (legalábbis ráfogom). :)

if you put a piece of gaffa tape on the splash and on the rim of the snare you will get the same sound, but loose the problem with the splash moving all around =)
