Man, this game had such fantastic water physics for it's time. Remember when you would go too far out of bounds and a giant sea creature would swallow you up and launch you back out towards the track? Good times.

Great treadition of Rainbow Studios, in Motocross Madness and ATV Offroad Fury going out of bound will straight lauch you far back into the map.

This was the first PS2 game I ever really played. I didn’t even own a PS2. My friend Jordan did. I’d go over to her house and play almost everyday. I loved it so much she gave me her copy when she moved away and I still have it to this day.

I remember playing this with my ps2 and xbox original. The water physics and gfx was so good for its time and seeing this on my emulator on android still beats modern mobile games on water physics and graphics.

I swear, nostalgia is like a drug. Once it hits you, you experience a slight moment of euphoria. I played this game as soon as it came out. Grabbed it from the video game section at Costco.

Rainbow Studios were masters of the technical stuff in their day. Motocross Madness and its sequel on PC, then this on PS2. Great fun.

I played this game so much I ended up buying the purple and blue wave-runner. 1997 Yamaha 650. Still have it today. Now I gotta rebuy the game :D

Just got into this game recently but whenever i hold down the X button for speed after a few seconds i lose speed and it sounds like the boat backfires, couldn't see anything to do with this in training, any tips?? Great game otherwise

It would never be able to capture the soul of this game. The physics would be too realistic and it wouldn't feel as cartoony and joyful which was such a draw for this masterpiece.

@@xTimelessGaming Man menu and weirdly even training is fine but as soon as I get into a race whether versus or career mode the frame rate cuts in half. You experience anything like that?
