*NOTE:* The Tower does NOT move faster with multiple players. That was a Splatoon 1 mechanic that was removed. In Splatoon 2, the Checkpoint counts down faster for each extra player. Optimally, if you outnumber the enemy team and/or they're too far away, have 2 or 3 extra players briefly sit on the Tower to pass the Checkpoint faster. But once the Tower starts moving again, the extra players can dismount and go back to defense.
@Bendix Schulz Really. Fully tested and test-able. You can always do recon on a Tower Control rotation, observe the tower speed, then play a real match and see if teaming up on the Tower results in faster movement. I assure you it won't, but don't just take my word for it.
Had a match where we got a disconnect and another team mate that just camped at our base pedestal the entire time 😭 me and the only other useful teammate were able to push the rainmaker more than midway through the base somehow
Tip for Clam Blitz: I like to use Beakons or Curling Bombs to get to the barrier. If you use Beakons, place them strategically, and pray that an enemy doesn’t see it. Use at least one main of Sub Power Up so that people can super jump to it quickly (literally one of the only things Sub Power Up is useful for, because it’s one of the worst main abilities in my opinion). If you don’t want to use Beakons, I would use Curling Bombs and put on some Swim Speed Up, but I don’t recommend Ninja Squid for this strategy because it slows you down and it’s very noticeable if you throw a Curling Bomb and swim through it with Ninja Squid to get to the basket. This video really helped me!
In rainmaker there are times where u have to keep going ignoring the enemies around, like for example one time I had a teammate that had the rainmaker and there was at least 15 seconds left and we needed 5 points left to get ahead of the other team. But I wouldn't make it to where my teammate is at in time since I was at the respawn area so I looked on the map and THERE WAS A WHOLE PATH OF INK THAT WAS SAFE TO GO THROUGH AND SHE LITERALLY STAYED AT ONE SPOT WORRYING ABOUT THE OTHER TEAM BEING AROUND and then we lost (still makes me upset smh)
I recommend this throwing an autobomb onto the side where the enemy is while trying to pop the rainmaker bubble since they would be focused on popping the bubble and won’t notice the autobomb
THANK TOU FOR THIS literally was spending all night trying to rank up to C and I just couldn’t seem to do it. I would always get splatted and my teammates would never support me and I would literally be the only one out there. I’m going to try this and hope that it works out thanks ! Update! I tried these out and OMG SUCH A DIFFERWNCE I’m a B in splatzones and a C in tower control going on C+!
Good for you I can’t wait to get out of C+ every teammate I get just makes me frustrated so I believe once I get to B- my teammates will be more serious
I love ranked but it’s annoying trying to get out of the lower ranks because other people have no idea how to work together. Sometimes they’ll be the last person alive and safe and they’ll charge into battle, like no bro, wait and let us jump to you
This is a really big issue I'm having in Splatoon 3. Ive only climbed to C+ and I am consistently hard carrying my team and essentially playing solo. I can't wait til I actually get higher and people have a sense of team comp
I’m a Brush Main - and I’ve been stuck in the A Ranks for quite a while - keep thinking there’s problems somewhere- and had been considering this… I’m considering it to DROP all my Ranks back to C- and Start Over again, just to find what the problems are and to avert them when I get back.
I think restarting will mess you up because you’ll be playing against lower leveled players. I think it’s best to play around with some other weapons, or just practice with the Brush in Turf War. Good luck though! Practice makes perfect!
This is so good! I find it ridiculous that you are barely noticed. Good tips (I managed to climb ranks because of this, everyone else repeated the same advice), nice jokes, and overall just a nice video. This is kinda sad that this video has under 5k views (It might increase but I can't tell the future). Keep up the good work!
I was listening to this video in the background while playing Splatoon 2. I was like this some good content so I checked the views and I was expecting to see at minimum 100K views and seeing less than 10K is a damn shame. Good tips, great editing, jokes that don't really distract or aren't too cringy from the tips, knowledge-based in experience. Man I haven't checked your channel or see if you're still doing stuff but dude keep it up! This is a good stuff and you're good at it.
Well Rainmaker in Splatoon 3 is kind of different from in Splatoon 2 , so maybe that has something to do with it. Maybe someday I'll make an updated version of this video for Splatoon 3's Anarchy Battles
Don't worry, there's always room to improve no matter how long you've played. It's all about finding what weapons and gear works for you, and then practicing!
Imo good advice, but bad examples. You say weapons with long range and paint are good, but you show weapons that have little to no paint. Jetsquelcher is a little niche for paint, since it's main priority is special (mostly stingray) spam. Sure Charger, Hydra, and Kpro are good weapons, but they don't support your claim. Chargers and pros mostly take advantage of their pressure, while Hydra is there mostly bc of the armor (can be broken if used correctly).
Okay, so I just got to level 10 and unlocked ranked games and it was Clam Blitz mode, my team got zero points and I had no idea what was happening. So ty for explaining
Have you ever considered going into the competitive scene? You're already better than the majority of casual players and learning how competitve works is not that hard. In my opinion competitve Splatoon is much more fun than only doing solo queue, but of course that's up to you
This is a really good video, my brother isn’t as good at Splatoon so I let him play on my account and I showed him this video :D He makes me rank down a lot so hopefully this helps you’re really underrated btw new sub and liked the video
Something people might not know about booyah bomb: it paints from the inside out meaning if you shoot your main weapon into it you can actually paint over it before it disappears completely (if you do this right, you can actually keep the other team from capping zone with just a booyah bomb)
This is actually a really good tip! I do this all the time so I can't believe I didn't think of it. If I ever remake this video for Splatoon 3, I'll make sure to say this!
It helps to find out what works best for you. There isn't one way that works for all when it comes to getting better at games. Just keep practicing with what works for your playstyle and you'll get better with time!
I've played MANY matches that have lasted 30 seconds. It's incredibly satisfying when your team is the one that won, but it feels so painful when you lose...
Me: spamming this way to my teammates with power clams wile I'm under the opponent's net Teammates: ignoring me Other team: scoring on us Me: it'll blow over Other team: gets in the lead Me: oh shi-
