Most bands in Splatoon either follow musical norms for the most part, or ignores them for the most part but still tries to make something coherent. And then you have ω-3, who seems to be making an active effort to violate as many musical norms as possible. And it’s for that reason that they’re one of my favorite bands in the series.

@@VashTown by “shouldn’t really work” I don’t mean that as a negative but more so how unique it is that it almost sounds like the time signature is changing every bar creating some dissonant harmonies that perhaps may not work in other places but fits perfectly here with the frantic nature of what’s happening in the game.

as an ex cellist i would have gotten so many dirty looks if i played a lot of those chords whoever composed this is an evil genius and i am so jealous of their skill and knowledge
