The ending with "BIG RUN IS IMMINENT" overlayed on a ruined Wahoo World with a helicopter surveying overhead makes this so ominous, love the vibes it's giving off as more of a dangerous occurence than some kind of citywide competition like a Splatfest

Glad to see some new stuff being added, it’s the perfect time for something new. Not to mention BIG RUN

I had an old prediction that there would be a Big Run to close out every season - not sure if that’s what they’re implying here, but it would be sick if each season before they added new weapons and strategies there was this kind of “final boss battle” to put all our knowledge of the previous meta to the test

The new stage looks absolutely amazing. Same with everything else. I am glad Flounder Heights is coming back. Woah. And I can’t forget about that new weapon. And Big Run is gonna be insane

Damn, I was thinking we'd just be getting kit variants of the existing weapons, but it looks like there are still new weapons coming. The new maps look great and I'm super excited that we're finally getting a big run event. Let's gooooo

X BATTLE, 2 new* maps, 10+ new weapon kits, new gear and accessories-SEEING THE BOOK OF MADAI FROM THE SPLATOON 2 SUNKEN SCROLL BROOOOO BIG RUN?! So hype

Even though we've only had only one kit for each weapon so far, the game already felt full-fledged at launch, but this update is about to make it even better.

Very clever, at the transition around 1:30 you can see the image from the scroll in Splatoon 2 talking about an event where Salmonoids take over with 7 Rings of light just like in this video. Amazing job with details Nintendo!

Hey, if you look closely during the transition to big run, you can see the one pinkfish sunken scroll image in there from splatoon 2! This has to tie in with big run, ofc. I feel like the sunken scroll is real, and big run could have a ton of lore with it.

Played a couple rounds of Big Run, and it’s pretty fun so far. It didn’t exactly feel as threatening as it was hyped up to be, but it was still a heck of a good time. I might play some more later. I’m not into the whole hardcore multiplayer aspect of Splatoon, and I’m one of those people who likes the series for its lore. I admit I went into the trailer thinking it was a much bigger deal than it was letting on. I honestly think fans have overhyped Big Run and overlooked the fact it was just a fun way to put a spin on Salmon Run.

These weapon variants look so sick! New map and the return of Flounder Heights! And to round it all out, X Battles AND Big Run? Pretty stoked for the next season!

I'm glad to see a bit more about Big Run. We have limited-time competitive multiplayer events (Splatfests) and it seems like Big Runs are going to be a co-op counterpart, based on the snippets of an altered Splatsville ambience shown in the trailer. I'm excited.

My hope and dream for this game is for every weapon, stage and agent to make an appearance. Dude Big Run is anything BUT chill, I'm hyped outta my MIND! Wahoo World being some horrible zombie carnival fits it so dang well, I kinda hope it stays as a Salmon Run map honestly! Also WOW Skipper looks so much better, reminds me of some sort of ninja dystopia! And Flounder Heights still has... some height! Better than Mahi-Mahi's treatment.

So not only are they bringing back the original weapons, they’re adding new ones as well. I was just thinking about when new weapons were coming and Nintendo straight up said “ no problem bro here’s a direct for ya.” The fact that it releases in December is even better because it gives those in school the entire Christmas break to play the new stuff

I saw someone else point this out, and if you look closely, at 1:31 sunken scroll 17 from splatoon 2 flashes on the screen. If you aren’t familiar with it, the text on that sunken scroll said “When smoke rises from the seven rings, The pinkfish will emerge from the sea, devouring all the creatures of the land.” At 1:51, you can see in the background the actual cloud that was in the sunken scroll with the seven rings.

I can't wait for the wait for the new weapons and stages! Especially *BIG RUN*

1:57 ok hold on hold on hold on... there are gushers activated during rush mode, huh? thats a new thing we havent seen before, maybe it just a replacement for a spawning shore, for maps that arent layed out in such ways to have 3 shores Also i just want to mention i love the music for big run, its turf war music remixed into a salmon run tyle of sound, and that is so clever to do, and it also sounds so cool
