Great video Bert - the wedges were always in motion - very efficient. Single wedges are also the cleanest - great for precision. You know all this already!
It would have been interesting if you had one of those old pedometers that Kellogs Special K cereal put in their cereal years ago to figure how many foot steps you went through to get that pile done. Job well done and showing the machines uses.
Nice job guys. Split force has lots of innovation in the drivable splitter / conveyor. Wedge design doesn’t seem to be as effective as other vertical splitters tho. Views across the conveyor it appears that the cylinder rod is kicking out away from the wedge possibly binding the slide? Cool machine tho.
The conveyor robs some, but we also found out later on that the pedal wasn't pulling the valve all the way open as well. There's another video of it splitting white oak coming soon.
Stacking is fine if you're limited with space. 1 cord of wood is at least 1 hour of time to stack, which comes out to 200 hours a year to work on building more inventory or doing other things you enjoy.
