Nice job. I usually get a load of logs from the mill delivered to my house and then I split it myself. Usually get 3 winters out of a load. Much cheaper doing it yourself than paying others to do it.

Always thought wood chips was better for smoking. That the bark itself was where the flavor smell comes from. Myself I like spilting it really nice square and clean. Makes me feel like a Rockafeller

I sure enjoy watching watch these when I get home at night. I got my 10 year old niece into them too: She loves it! I feel though, it was a bit of a miss of "Dad's BBQ" to not send you home with said BBQ. :P

A couple more varieties I like for smoking wood are wild hedge row apple and beech. Hard sugar maple is also great all give off mild smoke flavors excellent for pork and chicken.

i worked at a restaurant that used to get 1 cord of oak every 3 weeks in california. insanely busy place. i like cherry for sure. oak is like california hickery. we get a lot of almond wood from the orchards too.

Nice. Dump truck or trailer is the only way to deliver cord wood. That way you don't get waylaid into stacking the customer's wood for them.

I think with all these hard to reach areas I would invest in a cab and chassis truck with a dump bed on it, making deliveries that much easier with the reduced length and tighter turning ability. You then could tow a dump behind the truck doubling your volume on one trip when needed.

One thing to add to your pre-flight check, check the tires. Changing a tire on a loaded trailer is a real pain and dangerous.

Fruit trees generally are of the hardest wood available, my uncle Gerald used a two-foot cross section of cherry as a block for splitting rock maple and birch, yellow, black and white, without any discrimination!

hickory is nice, i was thinking about running hickory smoke threw hickory nut oil into stills thumper worm with ice to make cold smoke and into a dry ager to keep temp right, but it was just seafood like a big dog collar cut tuna steak with skin on to make it crispy when cooked, well the hardness of dry aging it will crisp up all over when cooking and still have a red center if cooked right with meat thermometer, dog collar is bling bling unless you use small cut yellow fin then it's just a bracelet cut, and a dog isn't saving anybody that way unless it still has its whiskey barrel

Emerald, the chain on that firewood saw looks to be in a difficult position to sharpen. What chain it uses, how the sharpening's done, how often and the care of that whole machine and so on, might make a good video. Finally, one video without her smile and I am missing Jade already.

I thank you for finally turning on your hazard warning lights. Apple also makes for great smoker wood. I do love smoking and grilling with firewood! Have never used charcoal. I would love to get a real offset smoker though. I've been using a tiny portable grill haha. Still works well but doesn't fit much and the coal base has to be so tiny for low and slow.
