6:03 the soap acts as a whetting agent, similar to when you need to spray certain oils as pest prevention on food crops foliar sprays, that's how we get the oils to "mix" for lack of better word into the water to atomize and spray properly cover foliage.

Dish washing soap is a "surfactant"!!! A surfactant helps break the surface tension of the liquid it's dissolved in... it makes water wetter, so to speak.

Just a thought. Decades ago, a mass production machine shop I worked at. We used compressed air to cool tools and blades. The work pieces and tools were in an enclosed work area, not in the open. The result was less mess with coolants. We did however, use large air compressors, in a separate room, 3, 2000 cfm compressors. Air nozzles were from Exair. This vid brought back some great memories. Thanks.

The guy over on the "Out Of The Woods" channel (he runs an LT-70) talked about trying different lubricants, including windshield wiper fluid.. Like the dish soap, it makes water "wetter" (reduces the surface tension) and so helps cool down the blade.

Looks like a fork lift extension. Two suggestions: (1) Set up a rain barrel to collect rain water off your building. Using rain water for your lube system will avoid the rust issue. (2) use an aftermarket gas can vent cap (usually yellow) can be purchased on Amazon or local automotive parts store. I think it takes about a 1/2" hole drilled in the tank and simply press snap it into the hole. They have an attached cap that pops on and off and you never lose it, unless it breaks. Thanks for the videos.

Some comments suggested fat/oil lubrication which would be fine for construction grade lumber. Furniture or instrument makers would need a paramedic to revive them. A hobbyist bragged about keeping his hand miter saw coated in wax for easier cuts. When I asked him how he could possibly get the glue to stick he said that he only used brad nails. Like I said... hobbyist. Soap and water are just fine.

It's an appliance to move trailers with the fork lift. It goes on the forks and tightens somehow, probably a bolt, and then you can use the trailer ball to get the trailers.

Take a soldering iron and melt a screw into the cap, tie a string to it around the handle of the tank. Fork attachment for moving trailers around in the yard, much easier than using the truck and requires alot less room in tight space.

Have you tried adding some cheap detergent to the lubrication water? We used what is sold in the UK domestic market as 'Fairy Liquid'. This makes the water even more slippery, and does not stain the wood. The exception is oak. Your irony water could cause staining of the oak. As I am sure you have found already, iron stains oak, especially when the oak is 'green' - meaning unseasoned.

soap is a surfactant....a surface active agent..... it reduces the surface tension of water...... it works for washing clothes because it allows the water to penetrate the fabric where as when not in there, the surface tension of the water keeps itself from deep penetration...... so smoothness I suppose.... yes, make things flows more easily and reduce potential clogging at the tip....... drops on a quarter with soap won't build up......

3:32 you can use a water tap on the other side as well, facing upwards, so that you have the ventilation. Another option is a DEA membrane in the muffle itself. They are used in IP67 rated devices to keep the water out and ventilate the humidity. Or a one-way valve with the right muffle would work as well.

Allways love when I learn stuff on a video. B.t.w. the dishsoap (do not recall the proper word on English) to make the water smother. What hapends is that water bind to itself giving it surface tension. (You might have seen those small bugs running around on the surface of a lake or when you fill a glass of Coce a little over the edger without spilling any). The dishsoap (VERY little is sufficient) breakes theese bonds making the water not stick to itself in the same manner. 🐔🐐👍⭐😀

The detergent in your lube is an easy fix, your friend using the pine sol also gets the benefit of the pine oil solvent removing sap from the blade, but detergent is fine for lubrication. Use the cheapest one, you don't need dawn as you are just changing surface tension not degreasing.

Also when we are done using our mill we detention the blade to 500psi so it doesn’t keep stress on it and I think it works because I haven’t broken a blade yet. Lol last thing... I tested the lube system and the speed knob only speeds up the pulse and it doesn’t affect constant

And will help keep system from rusting using only water The cap on water jug.... just drill a small 1/8" hole in the cap and tighten away. The hole isn't that big to loose much water.
