Hey Thanks for watching. Good idea about 2 logs but in reality it’s hard to keep the logs in position , due to vibration, without jamming them onto the cutting head, so I suspect 2 logs would be a bit hit and miss. Any chance you can make a splitter with a moving cutting head and fixed push plate ? Any chance of a 4 way cutting head. I’d love to test that with you.

It’s bloody impressive eh. It was a gamble getting it….. no regrets so far. It’s nice when the slow part of the job is the wood supply, I’ve had years operating the slow hydraulic and always waiting waiting waiting. Thanks for watching. More videos of the kinetic splitter coming soon.
I really want to see 1 of those splitters modded so that the wedge moves and pushplate is fixed like on your hydraulic. Would save dragging the wood back all the time when splitting it more.
Thanks for posting this, been wondering about the viability for a kinetic splitter, and moving from a “Redgum” style hydraulic one. I just don’t fully trust when manufacturers or sellers make videos about them. Would love to hear your overall thoughts, pros and cons on this machine and how you feel it suits Australian wood. Hi, thanks for watching. Lots more videos coming soon. I’m really impressed with it so far. I do have an issue with it jamming in a few videos time but that’s easily fixed, just bolts coming loose. It feels weak, I wish it was more solid, the tray, main ibeam and covers are all very thin, so I’m always waiting for an issue. My 50t black diamond is solid and it feels like it will last forever, this feels like I’ll get a few years out of it, but….. it’s so fast it cuts the work drastically. The way they work is very hard on the machine, rack and pinion engages with a clunk, gotta get some broken teeth soon….. but, it’s so fast and efficient. Only time will tell. Obviously it’s not designed to split big twisted crotch pieces, but it’s split everything I’ve put through it so far and that’s included some tough yellow box.
