I am the grandma of 11 (and counting) and I am done with Disney. I used to spend thousands on costumes, regular clothes, toys and trips to the Magic Kingdom. No more. Our family of 21 is going on a cruise next month and we purposefully did not choose Disney.

I would hope so. He was very jealous of Diana rather than proud of her. She works hard and has dealt, with grace, with being painted as the most horrid woman. Whatever happened between Diana and Charles 40+ years ago bears no relation to the dynamics between the King and Queen and the Wales. If I choose to quit my job and move away I don't get to keep the company car and I certainly don't get to take it with me. We all have restraints on our lives. Harry's restraint was that by stepping down as a working royal he lost privileges, including his security detail, and he has to pay for it himself.
His grandmother the late Queen explained this to him very clearly. That's why she gave him a whole year to think about it. I guess he thought she was bluffing and he could get his way in this just like he had in everything else.

On the Catherine/Disney issue. Of course it was deliberate slap at the Princess of Wales. But think of all the children named Catherine who will see this film and be hurt by the reference. It's essentially bullying from a company that used to be known for teaching children to be kind and caring.

To be fair to Richard, he said that the supposed complaints came from some courtiers, not that they were felt by the Royals themselves. And he said something about it being believed by the public because of the ideas put out with Charles and Diana and then in Harry’s book. It didn’t sound like he personally believed it, although i did not read his printed article. I don’t believe in such a thing, if it ever existed, because the King must know how much they all need the positive publicity from the Wales to help the popularity of the Monarchy- especially with so few of them being working royals now.

Apparently the RED BOX OF LETTERS (documents or whatever the Papers are called) from Parliament, that need to be individually read and signed arrive in the Palace office by 5:15am, guarded and opened at 5:30am. I think the point of Princess Catherine attending was to highlight the children being invited so that they may learn about the importance of 🐝 etc. on an environmental level. Charles couldn't have been happier, he thought Diana was a godsend and he didn't even bother to get to know or fall in love with her properly, he thought she was perfect and wanted to get married as quickly as possible. He was never jealous of her attention, he's not stupid but he did get angry when Diana vindictively tried to undermine him in public.

As a US taxpayer, I’m more concerned about the upcoming court case regarding Prince Harry’s IPP status. If he wins, both the UK and US taxpayers would then be tapped to pay for their security and that would not go over well here in the States.

I read Angela Kelly's second book, The other side of the coln, and I really enjoyed it. It is a tribute to the friendship and she did dress the Queen beautifully and I think that her Majesty appreciated the image she was able to portray in her latter years thanks to Angela and Stuart Parvin.
I know our late Queen dressed in bright colours, so that she could be seen but she looked so pretty in pastel colours. Catherine of course looks lovely in everything she is so elegant.

Harry still doesn't get it. If you want to live like a celebrity and not commit to service, no problem. Then you organize your own security like celebs do. Not demand the taxpayers provide it for you. Hiring people who are competent would go a long way to easing your fears as well. Maybe Harry should just stay in California where he’s chosen to live. He can limit all his charity work to his new country and devote his time to his family and making enough money to keep Markle in the lifestyle that she’s become accustomed to. He may have to work more than one hour a week though.
It's ridiculous for anyone to push these BS stories about the King being jealous of William & Catherine getting more coverage. The monarchy cannot continue to survive if the King & Queen were to dominate the papers w/ coverage over and above other working royals, all of the time. All working royals are like cogs in a machine. If anything, KCIII wants William & Catherine along with their kids to get more and more coverage to remind everyone they are the future of the monarchy. Charles & Camila are already king & queen & don't have to be bothered with petty popularity polls. They just need to get on with their work, serving their people. Meghan & Harry want everyone to believe that KCIII, QC & the P&PoW were jealous of them & that is hilarious to me! What upset the other royals was when Meghan, being the attention seeking narcissist that she is, would deliberately insert herself into the news to steal whatever attention she could from other working royals engagements. Because it would take attention not from the senior royal, but the cause that the royal was trying to bring attention to. Narcissists like Meghan can't think past themselves & I can't help but wonder if it's their PR team pushing these stories.

I believe all this stuff about the King and Catherine and jealousy, etc., as much as I believe a bee just landed on my nose. Prince William and Princess Catherine will ALWAYS be younger and more glamorous than Charles and Camilla. Life. I'm 74. I was a bit attractive and glamorous when I was in my 40's, but no longer. The media has nothing else to gossip about right now. If King Charles is so petty as to be jealous of his daughter-in-law, well.....too bad, so sad.
I get fed up with people calling for Charles to abdicate in favour of Wills and Catherine. Yes, they’re young and attractive but that’s not the only thing that’s important about being Monarch. I don’t think King Charles envies them and certainly I don’t believe Camilla does either because I don’t think she has that sort of ambition and personality
